Launching Ferrari into the new millennium, the 360 Modena was unveiled as the brand’s premier mid-engine sports car, featuring an Alcoa aluminum spaceframe chassis, Pininfarina-designed bodywork, and a flat-plane crankshaft 3.6-liter V8. This launch-year example is a European-market car finished in Rosso Corsa over Nero leather upholstery, factory-equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and an optional Challenge-style rear grille. This Ferrari was imported to the U.S. in 2000 and has been under the care of the same owner in Florida since 2009. In 2011, it was fitted with a new 360 Challenge Stradale engine under warranty by Ferrari of Tampa Bay. Supported by service records exceeding $90k in maintenance over the years, this Euro-spec 360 Modena is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 30k miles showing on the odometer.

Finished in traditional Rosso Corsa paint, the Pininfarina-designed bodywork is characterized by side air intakes and a transparent engine cover. Equipment includes xenon headlights, power mirrors, an optional Challenge-style rear grille, quad exhaust outlets, and 18” five-spoke alloy wheels. The seller notes minor chips on the front bumper, hood edge, and driver-side mirror, a minor scratch on the right rear quarter panel, signs of age on the window moldings, and that the tires show 2011 date codes. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The cabin features black leather upholstery and carpets accented by aluminum trim on the door panels, door sills, and center console. Accessories include adjustable bucket seats with embroidered headrests, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, a drilled aluminum footrest and pedals, a gated shifter mechanism, a polished aluminum gear knob, automatic climate control, and an AM/FM/CD stereo. The seller indicates there are no sticky original buttons, and the driver’s seat bolsters are in very good condition. All gauges and accessories are said to be fully functional.

The seller indicates that a new Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale engine was installed under warranty by Ferrari of Tampa Bay in 2011. Featuring dry-sump lubrication, a flat-plane crankshaft, and dual overhead camshafts with five valves per cylinder, the mid-mounted 3.6-liter Tipo F131 V8 engine was factory-rated at 425 HP in Challenge Stradale specification. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. A collection of service records is provided in the gallery.

This sale will include a clean title, a toolkit, and Ferrari tire spray.

The seller would like you to know: “1999 Ferrari 360 Modena - 6-speed manual - EURO SPEC. You're looking at a true enthusiast's Ferrari — a 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena Berlinetta, finished in the iconic Rosso Corsa over black leather, and yes… It’s got three pedals. This is a Euro-spec 360 Modena — lighter, more direct, and with cleaner styling cues than the U.S. version. A true 6-speed gated manual, factory original — not a conversion — making it one of the most sought-after specs in the Ferrari world. With only 30,366 miles, this car has been sparingly driven and incredibly well cared for. It’s been in the hands of the same owner since 2009 and comes with a clean title and no accident history.”

@wilhit10 If you check the records we provided, you’ll find invoice #317 from European Exotic Center, dated 03/15/2018. That invoice gives a pretty clear breakdown of the work performed, and the total was just under $10,000, which really shows that no shortcuts were taken.
It’s another example of the level of maintenance and investment this car has received throughout its life — always handled by specialists, with proper documentation and care.
Let us know if you’d like help locating that record or need anything else.

So the engine failed, and the new engine was over heated? Wonder how much they took off of the head gasket? At least it looks like it got a heat exchanger when that happened.

Thanks to everyone who's followed and bid on this auction!

This 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena is a rare factory manual transmission example — a true driver's car in the most iconic Rosso Corsa over black leather combo. It's a European-spec car, lighter and more engaging than its US counterparts. It has just over 30,000 miles, clean history, no warning lights, no sticky buttons, and cold-blowing AC. The Challenge rear grille adds the perfect finishing touch.

A documented engine replacement done by Ferrari of Tampa Bay, major timing service in 2018, and nearly $90,000 in maintenance since 2009 speak to how well this car has been cared for.

This is a rare opportunity to own a beautiful three-pedal Ferrari that’s as thrilling as it is collectible.
Best of luck to all bidders!

@toofast67 The only maintenance records we have are the ones listed in the summary provided.
Unfortunately, we don’t have documentation beyond that.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 day, 4 hoursago

@Bgexpress The car was imported brand new back in 1999, so it’s safe to assume it was brought in fully compliant with the EPA and DOT requirements in place at that time.
Let me know if you’d like any additional information.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 day, 4 hoursago

@mdkillen Thank you for your comment and for taking the time to review the details.
We’ve made every possible effort to present the car transparently and with as much supporting documentation as available. The information regarding the engine came directly from the previous owner and is also reflected in the service records from the time of the replacement. Those records are shared in the auction for full transparency.
Any interested party is more than welcome to contact the installing dealer directly or order a pre-purchase inspection to verify any further technical details — including the ECU or internal engine specifications.
Whether or not the auction description should be modified is ultimately up to the auction platform. Our role has been to share everything we have and to be as thorough and honest as possible throughout the process.
We appreciate your understanding and your interest in the car.

The spreadsheet shows maintenance records to 3/15/18. What maintenance has been performed in the past 7 years?

  • Bgexpress (registered bidder) 1 day, 7 hoursago

I see that this was imported before the car was 25 years old, was it made fully epa and safety compliant at time of importing or was it imported under show and display?

How many liters are left of the tire spray

  • mdkillen (registered bidder) 1 day, 8 hoursago

I’ve read the dialogue on the engine replacement. The description in the auction says the engine is a CS replacement, yet the visual cues and your answers suggest that it is a the stock engine. Is there a way to officially confirm which engine and ECU by calling the installing dealer? If it’s stock then the auction description should be modified to be accurate. Thank you.

@SimonM Thanks for the follow-up — really appreciate it. And no worries at all, it didn’t come across the wrong way! Always great to have conversations like this with people who know and appreciate the details.

We’re happy to help however we can and definitely open to working together on anything you need. Let us know if you want to go over anything else — we’re here.

Hope to see you in the bidding!

Thanks for the clarifying details @MiamiGarageClassics ... 100% agree that this would be a Ferrari factory built and tested part. As you say it can be built up from the long block using replacement and new parts as needed, and would be done to spec. Didn't mean to imply otherwise if that's what came across! I'm very tempted to bid.

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 day, 22 hoursago

    @cmoneymillz @SimonM
Thanks for the comments and questions. We’d like to clarify with the details we have on hand:

The engine in this car was replaced by Ferrari of Tampa Bay at 17,164 miles, and we have the full official invoice (FECS11246) uploaded and available. The engine part number is 95962103, which refers to a Ferrari factory-supplied long block. While the description mentions “rebuilt 50%,” that refers to Ferrari’s in-house certified remanufacturing process, meaning the engine was built using new or reconditioned components, fully tested to factory specs. It is not an independent or partial rebuild — this was a full Ferrari-engineered replacement performed under warranty.

The job was done at an official Ferrari dealership and cost over $42,000, which was covered under Ferrari’s internal warranty program, as shown by the significant labor and parts discounts on the invoice.

We have not removed the engine access panels to inspect ECU part numbers or intake hardware, so to be clear — we share the assumption that this is a standard 360 Modena engine, not a CS variant. The documentation supports a proper Ferrari replacement, and we’re not making any claims beyond that.

What’s especially notable here is that this 1999 Ferrari 360 Modena had a factory replacement engine installed in 2011, and today the car has just 30,366 miles total — meaning the engine has only 13,202 miles on it since installation. That’s incredibly low mileage for a Ferrari powertrain and a big plus for anyone looking for a clean, well-maintained driver.

Happy to answer any further questions or provide any additional documentation — thanks again for the interest and engagement!

  • SimonM 2 days, 3 hoursago

Found the the engine part number showing up here: https://partsinn.lt/catalog/Ferrari-oem-genuine-parts-scuderia-spare/95962103

Description of the part is: "ENGINE 360M.NO F1 REBUILT 50%"

So this part would be 360 Modena platform engine, with no F1 (so manual or without F1-auto parts), and 50% rebuilt, which likely means significant rebuild of the engine from the factory, so a refreshed unit not brand new.

  • cmoneymillz (registered bidder) 6 days, 3 hoursago

@MiamiGarageClassics I think the only way to really confirm, and what is arguably more important anyways in terms of drivability/power, are the ECUs. Part number on them 196986 (I think) - one on each side of the engine, underneath the access panels closest to the front of the vehicle. But without the CF badge and blue vent pipe, probably safer to assume its a normal 360 engine (still great).

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 6 days, 5 hoursago

@cmoneymillz Good morning, the only confirmation we have regarding the engine being a Challenge Stradale unit is based on what the previous owner reported. The invoice from Ferrari of Tampa Bay is the only documented item that refers to the engine replacement.
We understand this is an important point, and we're more than happy to help you verify anything you’d like — just let us know what specific pictures or videos you need, and we’ll get them for you right away.

  • cmoneymillz (registered bidder) 6 days, 11 hoursago

Is there any confirmation on this actually being a challenge Stradale engine? The part # on invoice turns up no results - and the 2 typical visual differences are missing (The carbon fiber Ferrari logo in the center, and the blue anodized Oil Vent Pipe in the middle). If yes, does it include the challenge Stradale ECU?

  • johnnyferrari (registered bidder) 1 weekago

@MiamiGarageClassics: Awesome. Thank you very much!

  • MiamiGarageClassics (seller) 1 weekago

@johnnyferrari Hello, The car was imported brand new to the U.S., so there is no accident history in Europe — it was never registered or driven overseas. The CarFax reflects its full U.S. history, which is clean.
Regarding the engine replacement: yes, it was done under warranty by Ferrari of Tampa Bay, and all the details are documented in invoice number FECS11246, which we’ve just re-uploaded with a clearer image for your review.

  • johnnyferrari (registered bidder) 1 weekago

Do you happen to know if the car had any accident history while in Europe? I realize the CarFax is clean during it's time in the US. Also, It appears you were able to get a new engine under warranty from the Tampa Dealer. I was under the impression that all warranties were voided on imported from the likes of Canada/Europe. Do you have any other info on that? Thank you!
