The second Porsche 911 to be offered in limited-production Speedster form, the 964-generation model features a shortened windscreen and signature double-hump rear cover. One of just 936 produced in total, this 1994 example is among only 427 designated for the U.S. market. Finished in Black over matching leather upholstery, it features a 5-speed G50 manual transmission along with optional cruise control, full air conditioning, and more. Showing under 9,500 miles, this rare 964 Speedster is now being offered for auction by the seller out of Illinois.
Based on the Carrera 2, the unique Speedster version features a shorter windscreen, along with a manually operated convertible top that stows beneath fiberglass double-hump fairings. This 964 is finished in Black (741) with a matching top and rides on factory staggered-width 17” Cup wheels dressed in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. Equipment also includes front fog lights, aero mirrors, a speed-activated rear spoiler, a periscope-style third brake light, and black Porsche-branded brake calipers. The seller states the original paint remains on the vehicle, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The Speedster’s interior features a standard rear seat delete, lightweight door panels, and Carrera RS-derived pull straps. This example is appointed with power-adjustable black bucket seats as well as factory yellow accents along the instrument panel, handbrake, seatbelts, and door handles. Optional equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, and a Becker-Porsche CR-1 cassette radio.
Power comes from an air-cooled 3.6-liter flat-six engine factory-rated at 247 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a desirable 5-speed G50 manual transmission. The seller adds that service in August 2022 included a valve adjustment, oil change, A/C system recharge, and replacement of the spark plugs, battery, fuel pumps, fuel level sending unit, accessory belts, air filter, valve cover gaskets, and receiver/dryer switch. Additional service at that time included a brake fluid flush and replacement of a brake line. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

I own one of these little cars and it’s a sure future investment. One quick opinionated option. I love my sport seats as opposed to RS. Way more comfortable and enjoyable. I know that is like talking politics ;)

We’ve updated the gallery with underside photos, images of the top up and latched and paint meter readings. Readings showing 11 are due to the clear bra on the front fenders and hood. Welcome to the auction of our exceptional 1994 964 Speedster, it has been exciting to see the engagement so far! The condition of the car is exceptional and it is exceedingly rare to find any 964 with mileage this low. An important point to note is that the car has original paint and meters correctly all around. On Monday, we will upload photos of the paint meter readings. The entire hood, front fenders, and mirrors are wrapped in clear bra, so it measures slightly thicker in those areas. Regarding the request for additional photos with the top up and latched, including close ups of the top and rear window, we will work on getting those uploaded Monday as well stay tuned! On the question about seats, this example was equipped with power adjustable seats, not the RS bucket seats. @Jbwz65 good question, it is not a reflection, but an imperfection in the clear bra. The entire hood, front fenders and mirrors have clear bra.
Did this car come with the RS Speedster seats?
@isringhausen is there damage to the paint or clear coat along the side of the hood in picture 70 or is that a reflection?
