Featuring an all-aluminum semi-monocoque design, advanced aerodynamics, and a 3.0-liter V6 engine with VTEC, the NSX was developed in collaboration with Ayrton Senna and showcases technology derived from Honda’s F1 motorsports program. This 1991 Acura NSX Coupe is one of 704 examples finished in Berlina Black over a Black interior and equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission for the inaugural model year. It features pop-up headlamps, an integrated rear spoiler, 15”/16” forged wheels, an aftermarket exhaust system, a limited-slip differential, automatic climate control, a Bose sound system, and an aluminum shift knob. Previously registered in New York and New Jersey, this NSX is now being offered for auction out of Georgia with approximately 48k miles showing on the odometer.

The designers of the NSX reportedly drew inspiration from the F-16 fighter jet, incorporating a long-tail, cab-forward layout that maximizes visibility and high-speed performance. The lightweight aluminum bodywork includes pop-up headlamps, side air intakes, an integrated rear wing, a glass rear hatch window, and dual exhaust outlets. This example is finished in Berlina Black and rides on silver staggered-diameter 15”/16” five-spoke forged wheels. A set of new Continental tires was installed in preparation for sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.

The Black leather interior includes power-adjustable sport seats, a three-spoke leather steering wheel, an aluminum gear knob, serialized stainless-steel door sill plates, automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose sound system, and an aftermarket Sony head unit.

The world’s first production car to use an entirely aluminum engine block and cylinder heads, the NSX features a transverse mid-mounted 3.0-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine with VTEC variable valve timing and titanium connecting rods. The engine is rated at 270 HP and 210 lb-ft of torque, and it drives the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The chassis includes four-wheel double-wishbone suspension and slotted disc brakes at each corner. An aftermarket exhaust system has been installed, and a timing belt service was performed in 2017. The seller adds that an oil change was recently completed, and the transmission serial number falls outside the range affected by snap ring failure.

@420Time not defensive at all just love when people try to give their 2 cents on things out of their zone :) have a great one that is why there is a concept of "reserve" :)
@eurocol,@nexusautobrokers, if It didnt sell on another auction site and it didnt sell here. It means the market has spoken. Dont get defensive because it didnt sell. Its worth maybe 85k at best.
@eurocol if you know anything about cars from that era market is what we as a seller and a qualified buyer decide. Bidding is just a nice process to see great people discuss the cars. Thank you for your time not like you are qualified to buy this one anyways LOL! have a good one and good luck with your comments ;)

So we are bidding against ourselves? Interesting…..
is this car in dealer inventory? or being sold on behalf of a client?
@the8thbif thank you and you are correct. when we said its out of that range we verified the serial.
@Ejdean67 the snap ring failure is limited to transmission numbers J4A4-1003542 through J4A4-1005978. These transmission numbers are limited to 1991 and 1992 model year vehicles. You cannot determine whether a car is in the range for possible failure by VIN number, you MUST check the TRANSMISSION NUMBER

@rhmoritz great question. considering its a two owner car from NY these tend to happen to honda Acura cars. we just sold a 12K mile RSX from NY and it had some random spots. Never bothers as since these pieces are just suspension add on so if anyone is not happy they can easily change or upgrade.
Clean undercarriage except rust noted in picture #83. Any comments from seller?
Bid in the amount of $30,000
Final day here folks. hard to find one or two owner cars like this one with all service done brand new tires. you can pick this up and drive to the moon and back
Bid in the amount of $25,000
Bid in the amount of $10,750
@fc356 Some are higher for a 1991 I am sure it has been refreshed. Since it's a two owner car people tend to keep their cars in perfect condition. no accidents a very rare gem we prefer older cars that have been refinished vs scratch heavy paint. thank you
Seller...Paint meter readings vary quite a bit. Has the car been re- painted or repaired since new?
Thank you
