The Jaguar XJ-S HE model was produced from 1981 until 1991 and features a 5.3-liter V12 engine with High-Efficiency “Fire Ball” combustion chambers. This 1990 example is finished in red over a tan leather interior and showcases a period Lister body kit, BBS basketweave wheels, burl walnut interior trim, heated power seats, automatic climate control, and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Acquired by the seller in 2022, this Jaguar XJ-S is now being offered for auction out of Florida with approximately 58k miles showing on the odometer.
This XJ-S was reportedly fitted with a Lister body kit at the original dealership when new, which includes revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a rear wing. The car was recently refinished in its original red color using a base and clear coat. A few small imperfections are noted, including a small ding in the polished trim on the left A-pillar. Equipment includes quad headlamps, chrome mirrors and door handles, body side moldings, a power antenna, polished quad exhaust tips, and 15” BBS basketweave wheels with gold-painted centers. A matching spare wheel is mounted in the trunk, and all the tires are recommended for replacement due to age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features tan leather upholstery, dark grey carpets, and burl walnut wood trim on the dashboard, door panels, and center console. Accessories include heated and power-adjustable seats, a black leather four-spoke steering wheel, power windows and door locks, automatic climate control, cruise control, a trip computer, and a Jaguar-branded AM/FM cassette stereo. The seller describes the interior as being in very good original condition, with all gauges and accessories working properly.
The 5.3-liter V12 engine delivers up to 263 HP and 278 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 3-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes power rack-and-pinion steering and four-wheel disc brakes with ABS. The seller notes a new fuel pump was installed in 2024, and the left front brake caliper was replaced in 2025.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a battery trickle charger, an original Jaguar cassette tape cleaning kit, service records, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Very clean, straight example of the smooth driving V12 Jaguar XJS. This example was well cared for and has only traveled on average 1,600 miles a year since new. As in external and internal videos, it dependably starts right up and runs smoothly. A rare example with beautiful GT Coupe styling.”
