A special-edition model built to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Porsche 911 and the final year of the Carrera 3.2, the 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster harks back to the original 356 Speedster of the 1950s with a lightweight design, a shortened windscreen, and a unique double-hump rear deck. This Guards Red example was purchased new by its original owner through Porsche’s Tourist Delivery before being imported to California as one of 823 Speedsters produced for the U.S. market. It came factory-equipped with black leather upholstery, wood dashboard trim, heated 8-way power seats, a shortened gear shift lever, air conditioning, velour luggage compartment carpeting, and a limited-slip differential paired with its G50 5-speed manual transaxle. The car spent time in Japan during the 1990s, returned to California, and was later shipped to France before moving to the Netherlands, where it was purchased by the current owner in 2021. This rare 911 Speedster is now being offered for auction out of Amsterdam.
The 911 Speedster features wider rear fenders derived from the contemporary 930 Turbo, a short, steeply raked windshield, shortened side windows, and a double-hump fiberglass rear deck that conceals a manual convertible top. This example is finished in Guards Red with a black soft top. It comes equipped with a European-spec rear bumper and side marker lights, integrated front fog lights, black stone guard decals, and 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels with black-finished centers and silver outer lips. The car rides on Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires showing date codes from 2021 and 2022. The seller notes that the car was refinished in its original color under the current ownership in 2022 to address light scratches and discoloration. The inside of the doors, hood, and engine bay retain the original paint. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features black leather upholstery with optional heated 8-way power-adjustable seats. Accessories include a four-spoke leather steering wheel, optional wood dashboard trim, air-conditioning, hand-crank windows, an elevated steering wheel hub, a shortened gear shift lever, a Blaupunkt Charleston cassette stereo, optional velour luggage compartment carpeting, and a storage compartment in place of the rear seats. The speedometer was previously replaced, and the seller states the value shown on the odometer is accurate.
Up to 215 HP and 195 lb-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels from a 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual transaxle and an optional limited-slip differential. Stopping power is derived from fixed 2-piston brakes and ventilated rotors at each corner. The seller notes that a full service was recently completed, and there are no outstanding maintenance items to be addressed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, service records, and a Dutch registration.
The seller would like you to know: “In my view, this is the most beautiful and original Speedster you'll ever see.”

@Theo1708
this is absolutely correct about the VIN number !!
I have 173822 last speedster with ZZZ stamped on the body and bought EB0 on the Title !!
The VIN stamped in the chassis of all Porsches start with: WP0ZZZ, but for the USA versions they change that to WP0EB0. When it came to Europe the authorities use the original stamped number. There's a carfax report on the USA number, i can send it to you. The service records i only have on paper, i can send it after the weekend.
The VIn listed above does not match the Vin on the car. Can you provide copies of the most recent service?
@Avant911 Yes there’s full documentation.
Do you have any service history?
