This 1988 Defender 110 has undergone a comprehensive restoration and customization, featuring a Corvette-sourced LS3 V8 engine, a GM 6-speed automatic transmission, a new Masland chassis, and fully updated suspension and interior appointments. Finished in a Keswick Green over a two-tone black and brown leather interior, this example comes equipped with a custom stainless-steel exhaust, a full external roll cage, a WARN winch, Baja Designs lighting, billet aluminum hardware, power accessories, a Pioneer head unit paired with an MB Quart audio system, and much more. With approximately 2k miles driven since the completion of the build, this extensively upgraded Defender 110 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Wyoming.
As part of its comprehensive restoration, this example received all-new body panels finished in Keswick Green with contrasting Santorini Black accents. Exterior details include a full-length external roll cage, rock sliders, black fender flares, upgraded Baja Designs lighting, billet aluminum side mirrors, and new glass. A WARN winch is integrated into the steel front bumper, which includes jumper posts capped with custom 3D-printed covers. It rides on body-color 16” steel wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, with a matching spare mounted to the rear swing-out carrier. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report dating back to December 2014.
The cabin has been comprehensively updated and converted to left-hand drive as part of the restoration. Aircraft-grade insulation was added throughout to reduce cabin noise, and a Puma-style firewall and dashboard have been fitted, integrating modern switchgear and updated controls around the center stack. The seats and trim are upholstered in two-tone black and brown leather with red contrast stitching, including the front and rear seating surfaces, center console, and door panels. The center console houses power window switches, a gear selector, and dual cupholders with matching brown leather inserts. Additional amenities include air conditioning, USB ports, and a Pioneer touchscreen infotainment head unit paired with an MB Quart audio system.
Power is derived from a Corvette-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine factory-rated at 430 HP and 424 lb-ft of torque. All four wheels are driven through a GM-sourced 6-speed automatic transmission and routed through rebuilt original axles and differentials. The chassis features a new frame by Masland along with Old Man Emu shocks, a front stabilizer, custom front control arms, and rear trailing links to improve ride quality and handling. Braking, steering, and undercarriage systems were also addressed during the restoration. No current mechanical issues are reported.
This sale will include a clean title.

Hi All
We are going into end of auction, wanted to let everyone know we sold another defender restomod on Pcar few weeks ago. The auction ended weak and James from Pcar hustled at the end with bidders on phone and it ultimately sold for 150k. That buyer is very happy. This truck is nicer and more focused for off-roading and harsh climate use. There has been a bit of commenting and speculation on values of these resto mod defenders. I wish those commenters would be bidding too! Let’s see where the market is and hopefully someone gets a deal and a great truck…

@Madihay Same thing I told @bowerpower22 Start bidding and maybe you get a great deal…
Bigfooter is right. Been watching this auction since beginning. $50k is no where near where seller has set reserve. I just looked at an ECD build same year completed and in perfect condition with only $2k miles. Owner paid $360k for it. Just 2 and a half years later it’s now selling for $160k at a dealership! They don’t hold their value. You put another $5k miles on this thing now it’s with $70k maybe. They are awesome and I would have bought the one I looked at but just couldn’t swollen the idea of that kind of loss in value at that speed. So many garages are building these now that the market is saturated. Unless you’re cool with taking an $80k bath very soon after you buy one it’s likely not something for you. I saw a build on here go for $70k about 2 months ago but that was a private party and I don’t think it had a reserve - in that rare instance I think you go for it but no way this goes for $50k. But the way, the one I looked at has been sitting at the dealership for a very very long time at the “steal” it is now compared to its original cost
I absolutely love these things! It's amazing how expensive the builds can be on these as well. During COVID these demaned huge $$$, now the market has really dropped off. There are two beautifully built ones at a small bespoke dealer near me, one pickup, one 110 - and they started off with large asking $$....to date, still there months later with drastic price reductions. Curious to see where this ends up as I am a massive fan of the LS3 tucked nicely into this one..... Gorgeous build! GLWTA!
@Scoutitout delivered in June 2022, new crate LS3 and new transmission.
Very nice build! When was the build completed? Was it new crate engine and transmission when installed ? Thank
@Bowerpower22 start bidding, maybe you will get a deal😜
@Rennwagen Highgate Motors of Barrington IL
Saying this is a $300k build makes me think there is no way this hits reserve... This is beautifully done but sometimes these builds reach a point that getting the money out of it when selling is impossible.
Thanks. Who did the build?
@Rennwagen they basically just reused axles (rebuilt) and VIN… 300k+ build.
Fantastic build, love the choices. New frame and new body panels – – what part of the vehicle was reused? Which shop completed the build? Total cost? Thank you.
