The 1986 model year introduced the Porsche 944 Turbo (951), featuring a turbocharged and intercooled engine, improved aerodynamics, stiffer suspension, and larger brakes than the standard model. Initially delivered at Colonial Motor Sales in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, this inaugural-year example is finished in Guards Red over Black upholstery. It was factory optioned with Sport Shock Absorbers, protective bodyside moldings, an electric sunroof, cruise control, central locking, and a heated driver’s seat. Showing approximately 2,500 miles on the odometer, this well-preserved Turbo is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut.
The 944 Turbo distinguishes itself from a base 944 by its rounded nose with an integrated bumper, driving lights, and a body-colored diffuser below the rear bumper. Equipment also includes pop-up headlights, fog lights, a rear spoiler, and a single exhaust outlet. Finished in Guards Red, this example also features optional protective bodyside moldings and an electric sunroof. It rides on 16” Phone Dial wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with Black partial leather upholstery. Equipment includes power windows, electrically adjustable seats, a digital clock, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt cassette stereo. Options include partial leather front seats, a heated driver’s seat, a central locking system, and cruise control.
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.5-liter inline-four engine is factory-rated at 220 HP and 243 lb-ft of torque, delivering power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. Compared to the standard 944, the 944 Turbo features a stiffer suspension and shares its fixed 4-piston Brembo brakes with the contemporary 911 Carrera. This example was further optioned with Sport Shock Absorbers. The seller notes that the timing belt was replaced in April 2024.
This sale will include a clean title, owner’s manuals, a window sticker, a toolkit, a spare tire, an air pump, a car cover, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The seller would like you to know: “This example is accompanied by excellent maintenance history and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.”

@DgTx57 never seen a carfax go back 40years... This car has a good track record with carfax, ownership, and Porsche Certification of Authenticity... Plus the undercarriage is clearly a very low mileage vehicle (zinc bolt, etc), as well as the wonderful dashboard...
why the 20 year carfax gap?
Bid in the amount of $31,000
@pablo This is a 6 digit odometer. 2,513 miles means 2,513 miles. This car is well known in the 944 community. Mileage has been confirmed accurate on several different occasions. Tire question was answered by the seller 5 days ago.
@Pablo Sorry little confused by the question. The car is 2513 original miles... The odometer has never been replaced. The timing belt was replaced due to the age of the car not mileage. Tires changed in 2022. Please review the car fax, and Porsche maintenance records. The Porsche authenticity certification is also a great resource of the car's build quality...
Hello, 2513 miles at odometer, means 102513 miles. It mentions belt replaced with so lowieahe or just because old rubber? Maintenance history? Tires below 10 years? Many thanks. Cheers

@porsdrvr95 feels like a little rumble at idle, nothing loose or rattling... similar to my other low mileage 951/994T.
Are the monos mount in good condition? Any vibration at idle?
Bid in the amount of $7,500
@jbelcredi The car fax tracks most of the cars history, which is rare... Bought in RI, moved to Monterey Cali, bought by myself. Well maintained concourse vehicle. Odometer original, dashboard in great condition, original undercarriage is mileage and age appropriate with clean struts, clean zinc anodes/bolts, etc. Paint meter readings all original and c/w no paint work. Porsche authenticity certification c/w low mileage and well maintained vehicle... hope that helps.
What is the background story on this car? How has it only got 2500 miles? How has it been stored all of these years, etc...Thanks

@Ripstick19 Yes, several of my cars have been listed on PCar and Bat. Typically Pcar does better with true buyers... Bat has a lot of banter and drama IMO.
Wasn't this just on BAT recently?
Hello Pcar enthusiasts… Up for auction is a highly pristine, maintained, and updated 944T/951 specimen.
