Born from Porsche’s experience with the turbocharged 917/30 CAN-AM racecar, the 930 Turbo became a benchmark for automotive performance upon its debut in 1975 and remains one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. Finished in Garnet Red Metallic over Champagne Beige leather upholstery, this 1986 example was originally configured for sale in California and comes equipped with chrome 16” Fuchs wheels, power seats, an electric sunroof, air conditioning, a rear window wiper, and a 4-speed manual transaxle paired with its turbocharged 3.3-liter flat-six engine. The car was registered in California from 1992 to 2023 and was acquired by the seller in 2024. Having since benefited from extensive service, including new brake hoses, fuel pumps, front wheel bearings, A/C maintenance, a new fuel distributor, and a battery, this beautifully appointed 930 Turbo is now being offered for auction out of Missouri, with approximately 52,000 miles showing on the odometer.
In contrast to a contemporary 911 Carrera, the 930 Turbo model features wider fenders, a front chin spoiler, and a distinctive “tea tray” rear spoiler that provides downforce while accommodating the engine's intercooler. This example is finished in Garnet Red Metallic (822). Equipment includes European-spec headlights, headlamp washers, integrated fog lights, power mirrors, an electric sunroof, rear stone guard decals, a heated rear window, a rear window wiper, a double-tipped exhaust outlet, and chrome 16” Fuchs wheels. The Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires show date codes from 2017 in the front and 2016 at the rear. The seller indicates that clear paint protection film and ceramic coating have been applied to the exterior. A few small chips are noted on the front end and door edges. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with Champagne Beige leather upholstery, matching carpets, and a contrasting black leather dashboard. Accessories include power-adjustable front seats, a four-spoke leather steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, a sound system, and a Blaupunkt New York AM/FM/CD stereo. The seller notes the interior is in great original condition, with the leather reconditioned and carpets thoroughly cleaned.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine was factory-rated at 282 HP and 289 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle, and braking is handled by cross-drilled discs and four-piston calipers at each corner. Recent services completed at a cost of $10k include new fuel and brake hoses, fuel pumps, A/C and heater repair, a new fuel distributor, throttle bell crank bushings, front wheel bearings, an oil and filter change, and a new battery.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a tire inflator, a battery trickle charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car has been very well cared for. Runs beautifully and is so much fun to drive. This is a true gentleman’s car.”

@shamansky Thank you sir.
Check out the prior auctions by googling the vin.
@shamansky Potential bidder. Can you elaborate please.
Much appreciated
@tommeron A driving video and a start-up video have been added to the listing page.
@Clecornu good deal, thank you!
@cgolseth The AC works well. I live in Missouri and it gets really hot and humid. Been able to enjoy the drive during the summer.
Curious how WELL the AC works? I live in Texas and just cannot own another classic that I can’t enjoy 4-5 months a year. Because it can’t keep up with the heat. Thx
Regarding the paint a perusal of the past auctions is informative.
@tommeron no compression or leak down tests done. There has been no reason to have them done since the engine isn’t running poorly.
I can post a driving video at some point today.
Any driving video? Compression or leak down tests?
@dr07845 there is no sticker on the driver side door.
Is the original VIN sticker still on the drivers door jamb?
@CYMBOLT it is original paint. I don’t have paint readings but can see if I can get that for you.
Bid in the amount of $50,000
Good day,
Original paint? Meter readings? By chance do you have compression/leak down numbers to share? Thanks in advance.

@RockyS thank you! It is truly an amazing car.
Beautiful car and looks to be well cared for! Nothing like the 930 Turbo for enjoyment as well as solid investment. Should be $200K at the close. Nice presentation. GLWTA.
