Finished in Iris Blue Metallic over Pearl White leather, this 1986 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet was acquired by the seller in January 2025 from its long-time owner of approximately 20 years. Powered by a 3.2-liter flat-six mated to a 5-speed 915 manual transmission, this Carrera features a blue soft top, an elevated steering wheel hub, a short shifter, a central locking system, cruise control, and upgraded 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels. Showing approximately 89k miles on the odometer, this 911 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
This example is finished in Iris Blue Metallic (L33P) with a blue manually-operated cabriolet top. Equipment includes rectangular fog lights, heated and power-adjustable mirrors, a raised third brake light, and impact bumpers. A set of polished 16” Fuchs forged alloy wheels has been mounted with new Toyo Extensa HP tires. Minor paint imperfections, slight patina, and two small tears in the soft top are noted as consistent with age. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is welcomed by Pearl White leather upholstery. Equipment includes an optional short-shift gear lever, fully power-adjustable seats, an elevated steering wheel hub, cruise control, and a central locking system. The seller states white gauge faces were previously installed, the leather has been redyed, and minor wear is noted.
An air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine generates as much as 207 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual 915 transaxle. The CARFAX report shows a total of 6 services, with the latest major service showing a maintenance inspection, recommended maintenance performed, drive belts checked, and a safety inspection performed in October 2024. Service records are said to accompany the sale.
This sale will include a clean title and owner's manuals.
The seller would like you to know: “The top is a manual top. It is a Driver quality top. It has had minor repairs to small tears, but it does not leak and functions as it should.”

@mberenji619 I am not sure what code 72 is but this interior looks as if it was factory installed and there is no sign of any blue leather on the car.
Can you help confirm? Based on the factory sticker you provided, the interior code is "72", which corresponds to:
Interior Code 72
Dark Blue Leather Interior
This was the original factory-installed interior color and material.
---
If your car currently has pearl white interior, then:
It was not original from the factory.
It may have been reupholstered or customized after production.
This could affect originality but may increase appeal for some buyers if professionally done.
If you're looking to confirm this further:
Check under-seat or under-dash areas for remnants of the original dark blue material.
Review the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Porsche or order one through Porsche Classic.
@Jgeis1 yep
@mberenji619 The cost of the top is subjective on the type of top you go with. What I can say is that I will pass my wholesale labor cost on to the winning bidder.
@Imperial what's a very fair price ?

@garyly i’ve added pictures. It’s basically a silicone patch. If you are the winning bidder we would be happy to put you in contact with our Upholstery shop and coordinate having a new Top put on prior to taking delivery. If you feel more comfortable having a new top they will give you a very fair price, but ultimately this top will do the job or we would’ve replaced it. Like I said in the video, it’s a Driver quality top that you can put down and not worry about creating creases. It opens and closes very easily.

@garyly The profile that the previous owner purchased was incorrect for this model. The tires we put on are the factory recommended size.
Also, the receipt from September 24 shows four new tires and the reciept from February 25 also shows four new tires. Why were the tires replaced so quickly?
@Imperial Can you add some close up photos of the repair. I'm not familiar with that kind of repair/product. If you have records of the repair/acutal product used, can you share those. I'm trying to get a sense of how long that repair can be expected to last. I'm not one of those "never drive it in the rain" owners. If I'm the winning bidder, it'll get driven in all sorts of weather...
@garyly the zipper works as it should. The top had two spots sealed with convertible top canvas sealant. The spots were very small roughly 1/4-1/2 inch.
Can you provide more details about the repairs for the top? How well does the zipper work?
Is this the car that just sold on bat?
