This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa was ordered in Garnet Red Metallic over a Black interior. It features Fuchs forged alloy wheels, front and rear spoilers, front fog lights, heated and power-adjustable front seats, an upgraded Porsche Classic radio, Rennline interior appointments, and more. Recently fitted with a replacement 3.2-liter flat-six engine paired with its 5-speed manual transmission, this example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.
The exterior is finished in Garnet Red Metallic with a black Targa bar and removable roof panel. Equipment also includes a heated wraparound rear glass window, a front valance with rectangular fog lights, headlight washers, dual side mirrors, black rear stone guard decals, and front/rear spoilers. It rides on 16” Fuchs alloy wheels wrapped in Continental ExtremeContact tires from 2023. The seller notes some paint imperfections, and detailed images are provided in the gallery along with an accident-free CARFAX report.
Inside, the driver is greeted with black leather upholstery. Accessories include a four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, VDO instrumentation, power windows, and heated power-adjustable front seats. Modifications consist of a Porsche Classic head unit, reupholstered door panels, custom door-mounted armrests with RS-style door pulls, Rennline aluminum footrests, and a Rennline pedal set. A small tear is noted on the driver's seat.
The replacement air-cooled 3.2-liter flat-six engine delivers a factory-rated 207 HP and 192 lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transaxle. The most recent CARFAX service entry, dated May 1, 2025, at Turn3 Autosport in Surrey, British Columbia, notes replacement of the engine and clutch pressure plate, a fuel system inspection, and the installation of new spark plugs.
This sale will include a Canadian registration. The CARFAX report shows a potential odometer rollback.

@seller How long is the import process to bring the car into the US? Also, you said it's about $1800, correct? Do you work with any shippers, and if so how much would it be to ship the car to the Chicago area? More specifically zip 60069. Thanks!

Transmission is great no issues. No leak down test, just a compression test with great results @tommeron
Last 15 mins! Get your bids in!
@seller did you get any leakdown numbers along with the compression testing? I assume they're excellent, but figured I would ask.
And how is the transmission?

There may be a potential odometer discrepancy. This vehicle has been in Canada since 1995, and it's possible that mileage was recorded in miles at one point and later converted to kilometers by different technicians, which may have caused inconsistencies in the records. However, the engine was replaced by Turn3 in January 2025, making the odometer reading less relevant. As such, the vehicle is being sold as True Mileage Unknown (TMU). That said, based on the condition of the body and interior, it appears to have seen less than 100,000 miles of use. @hadz24
@seller The odometer has ping ponged back and forth quite a bit . In 8/94 it was 56K, in 10/03 it was down to 41K, in 4/12 it was back up to 74K, then in 2/14 it was back down to 44K. And now it sits at 77K when it was only at 60K just 2 months ago. Do you have any good explanation for these discrepancies that would dissuade me from concluding the obvious? I'm interesting in bidding, but the whole odometer thing seems quite sketchy to me. Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

@tff we have a customs broker you may deal with. They will entirely take care of the process. We recently did another 911 it was $1800 including duties and broker fees to get it across.
The mileage is 77000miles on the body and the engine was recently replaced at turn3 here in BC. The current engine in the car was provided to turn3 by the previous owner has an unknown amount of mileage, as i cannot get ahold of the previous owner to find out. The car is in incredible shape and engine runs beautifully. It will not disappoint the next owner.
@seller... what does it take (dollar-wise & process-wise) to bring this car back to the U.S.? And can the mileage discrepancies in the carfax be explained? What is the estimated true-mileage? Thanks.
