Finished in Grand Prix White over a Black interior, this 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet was originally configured for the RoW market and was imported to the U.S. in October 1984. Under previous ownership in 1995, it was modified with wide 930 Turbo-style bodywork and a Stage 3 turbocharged 3.3-liter engine by Protomotive Engineering of Winchester, California. The custom flat-six is claimed to produce up to 580 HP with high-end upgrades including a Garrett turbocharger, a full-width intercooler, an electronically controlled HKS wastegate, twin fuel pumps, and a stainless-steel exhaust. This 911 also features a rebuilt and reinforced 4-speed manual transaxle, cross-drilled brake discs, 17” Compomotive three-piece wheels, a DP rear wing, reupholstered leather Sport Seats, a three-spoke MOMO steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped roll bar. Acquired by the current owner in 2015 after being treated to a comprehensive engine rebuild with new Mahle pistons and cylinders, this turbocharged Carrera Cabriolet is now being offered for auction out of Michigan.
The body is finished in Grand Prix White and has been modified with wide Turbo-style steel fender flares, rockers, bumpers, a front chin spoiler, and a DP rear wing. Equipment includes a black convertible roof and matching boot cover, a custom leather-wrapped roll bar, RoW-spec side marker lights, headlamp washers, integrated front fog lights, red-painted brake calipers, and aftermarket 17” Compomotive three-piece wheels with Porsche-crested center caps. The seller indicates the tires are at least 10 years old, and some cosmetic imperfections are present around the exterior, including haziness on the rear convertible window and paint chips on the front fascia and rear fenders. The Black interior features reupholstered leather Sport Seats, a three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and a leather MOMO shift knob. Other accessories include power windows, air conditioning, an aftermarket VDO Tempostat cruise control module, an HKS electronic wastegate controller, an analog turbo boost gauge, a Yamaha cassette stereo, and aftermarket speakers. The seller indicates that the air conditioning fails to blow cold, and the radio works intermittently.
In 1995, the original 3.2-liter flat-six engine was rebuilt to Protomotive’s Stage 3 specifications, including a 3.3-liter displacement upgrade, a Garrett turbocharger, a custom full-width intercooler, an HKS wastegate, twin fuel pumps, larger Bosch fuel injectors, a complete stainless-steel exhaust system, and revised engine software for a claimed output of 580 HP at 1.1 bar of boost. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt in 2014 by Rennstatt Racing of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The original 5-speed 915 manual transaxle is included in the sale. In 2015, the engine was rebuilt by Proto Tech in Florida, including new Mahle pistons and cylinders, high-lift SC cams, new rockers, main bearings, timing chains, HP valve springs, a Supertec head stud kit, and an aluminum clutch and flywheel kit. Associated invoices are provided for reference in the gallery.
This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, a battery trickle charger, the original 5-speed manual transaxle, and a clean title.

Thank you for your question. The Carfax is included in the listing. It is under ATTACHMENTS. It says "No damage or accidents reported to Carfax". I have 4 pictures of the area you are concerned about (2 for each side). I do not see any evidence of damage. Unfortunately, I am not able to attach the photos. Interesting car, upon inspection of picture 39 it appears that the left bottom weld in broken probably from a hit in the left rear????
Could you please take a clear close up of the offending area and also provide a Carfax??
