Introduced in North America for the 1982 model year, the Series 3 Alfa Romeo Spider featured revised styling and a new Bosch electronic fuel injection system for its 2.0-liter twin-cam inline-four engine. This 1984 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce is finished in Grey Metallic over a Saddle leather interior. It comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission, a limited-slip differential, disc brakes, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, power windows, a rear spoiler, and 14” Daytona-style alloy wheels. Said to have been meticulously cared for and garage-kept by only two prior owners, this Alfa Romeo is now being offered for auction out of Maryland with less than 38k miles showing on the odometer.
The Series 3 Spider can be distinguished from earlier models by its black rubber bumpers, integrated front grille, and a small rubber spoiler mounted to the Kammtail. This example is finished in Grey Metallic with a black convertible soft top. Equipment includes a front air dam, dual mirrors, vent windows, chrome door handles, a center-mounted tailpipe, and 14” Daytona-style alloy wheels dressed in new Douglas 185/70 tires. The seller notes the exterior is in very good condition with only a few minor paint flaws. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin features Saddle leather bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Accessories include a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a wood gear knob, power windows, a digital clock, Jaeger instrument dials, and a JVC cassette radio. All gauges and accessories are said to be working properly.
Featuring Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection, the 2.0-liter DOHC inline-four engine was factory-rated at 115 HP and 119 lb-ft of torque. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Stopping power is derived from power-assisted disc brakes at each corner. The seller indicates the fuel injection system was recently rebuilt.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, a battery charger, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Collector grade Spider Veloce with just 37k miles from new. Absolutely remarkable condition inside, outside and underneath. Perfect original carpets under perfectly clean seat tracks holding exceptional saddle leather seats. This car runs and drives like a new car. Garaged since day one by just two meticulous owners. Original paint, low mileage, well documented, minty fresh all around! I’ve seen many of these but never one like this. Take a close look at the hardware in the engine bay and in the interior - those bits tell the story of a loved classic.”

Must have missed it when I looked at the draft but it does not have AC.
Why is it mentioned twice above that the automobile has AC?
Gorgeous. Rare to see them in this condition any more. I've always been interested, but fear my 6'1"/250# bulk might have me looking like a bear in the circus. Best wishes to buyer and seller.

@jpp3 , no way to answer that really. That said, carfax only reports what’s been reported. Not all agencies and or shops reported to carfax back then. This car was first registered in 1984 in PA (the original PA tag dated ‘84 is included with the sale) so perhaps PA records were not available to carfax back then?
Why does the carfax report start in 2005 on your 1984 Spider?
