One of 63 examples produced for the Canadian market during the model year, this 1981 Porsche 930 Turbo is finished in Wine Red Metallic over a tan and brown leather interior. The car is equipped with a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine, a 4-speed manual transaxle, optional Sport Seats, an alarm system, an electric sliding sunroof, an aftermarket stainless-steel muffler, and 18” Speedline-style three-piece wheels. It was sold new from Porsche Calgary and has been registered in British Columbia from 1994 until the seller’s purchase in 2023. Serviced with a new battery, tires, and several minor repairs over the last year, this 911 Turbo is now being offered for auction with approximately 62k kilometers or 38k miles showing on the odometer, accompanied by the original 16” Fuchs wheels, owner’s manuals, a binder of service records, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
The 930 features wider rear bodywork compared to a contemporary 911SC along with a front air dam and a Tea Tray rear spoiler. This example came factory-finished in Wine Red Metallic (895) and is equipped with H4 headlights, headlamp washers, front fog lights, a fender-mounted antenna, an electric sliding sunroof, black rear stone guard decals, a rear window wiper, a polished stainless-steel exhaust tip, and 18” Speedline-style three-piece wheels. Four new Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires were installed in September 2024, and spacers were added to prevent tire rubbing. The original 16” polished Fuchs wheels are also included in the sale. The seller notes the driver’s side door and right rear quarter panel were previously refinished, and the paint remains in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along with a clean CARFAX report.
The cabin is appointed with tan leather upholstery, matching carpets, and a contrasting brown leather dashboard. Accessories include optional front Sports Seats, a black leather three-spoke steering wheel, Turbo-script floor mats, power windows, air conditioning, an alarm system, aftermarket speakers, an amplifier, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo. The seller notes the sunroof was repaired in 2025, and all gauges and accessories are fully functional.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine delivers up to 300 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transaxle. Service in the last year includes replacing the battery, air tube, air filter, hood and decklid struts, windshield washer pump, wiper blades, windshield washer jet repair, exhaust rattle repair, and air intake leak repair. A binder of service records is included in the sale.
This 930 is accompanied by owner’s manuals, a spare tire, service records, the original 16” Fuchs wheels, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and a British Columbia registration.
The seller would like you to know: “Rare color Canadian example with a complete owner & service history binder since day 1.”

I should also add that it has a heated windshield which I understand were only available on euro spec 911s. Which the Canadian version is based off the European spec cars. If you look carefully, there heat element in the bottom 6” of the windshield. The heated windshield is no longer available through Porsche. There’s exelsheild protective film which I added a few years ago to preserve the windshield. I spotted a used one for sale on rennlist a few years back for €7k!!
@AWClassicGarage thanks for that

@Benthecarguy thanks for responding Ben.
@Bulletproofauto the door repaint was due to a scratch from a bicycle while the car was parked on the street around 2001. The right fender repaint was from a door dent which occurred at Weissach Motorcars in Vancouver while the car was in for service in 1999. It happened in their parking lot & they were very good in looking after the repair. Neither damage were structural & no collision were involved. I hope that answers your question.
@Bulletproofauto Yes I will upload the Carfax report with B.C. claims history.
Aside from these 2 small ICBC Claims the remaining history is very clean.
@AWClassicGarage thanks for uploading the photos of the original rims. Great to have with the car. Looks like like paintwork was an insurance claim. Do you have a copy of a Canadian Carfax report with B.C Claims history? Thanks

@Bulletproofauto , I have uploaded pictures of the Fuch rims & Bodyshop invoice of the actual pain & body work performed to the Rt 1/4 & drivers door. Looks very minor.
Hope this answers your questions.

@AWClassicGarage do we know the reason for the repaint on the drivers door and rear quarter panel? Any indication of metal repair? Are there photos of the original Fuchs? Thanks (Sorry for the duplicate posts)

I’m the last owner of this car. I’ve known of this 930 since new, the original owner was the father of a high school school friend whom I’m still in contact with. There’s a binder full of provenance with this car. It’s a 3 owner car, first owner sold it in 1986, I bought it from the second owner in 1994 & I owned it for 29 years. It has always been treasured throughout its life, it has been garage kept since new. This is a super rare Canadian model where the 930 was not available from 1980-1983 in rest of NA. Euro spec 300hp with NA crash bumpers. Only 63 cars were delivered in MY1981. Bid with confidence, this is one of the cleanest original 930 available for sale anywhere. Please contact me for any questions. I have a lot of stories to tell on this car. I would also like to keep contact with the winning bidder of this very special 930. GLWS.
@AWClassicGarage thanks. I previously owned an 81 Turbo in this same colour and had spoken with this cars previous owner. I'm surprised he let it go, he loved this car.

Can you drive it and park it in US before tariffs hit? Joking aside, does anybody know how/if/when the tariffs will hit imported cars? I thought there was an exemption past a certain year. Can somebody smarter than me confirm?
Great looking 930. Never seen this color before
GLWS!
