The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia is designed by Italy’s Carrozzeria Ghia and hand-assembled by German coachbuilder Karmann. Powered by an air-cooled 1600cc flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this 1973 example is refinished in Zambesi Green over a brown interior. It features dual “pea shooter” exhaust outlets, chrome bumpers, 15” chrome steel wheels, a push-button AM radio, and more. This Karmann Ghia is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada, accompanied by a clean New Hampshire title.

This example was refinished in Zambesi Green and showcases Karmann Ghia’s signature hand-shaped, butt-welded, and pewter-smoothed bodywork with rounded fenders. Exterior details include chrome bumpers with overriders, rounded headlights, a driver-side mirror, bright window surrounds, pop-out rear quarter windows, polished lower body moldings, and dual “pea shooter” exhaust outlets. It rides on chrome 15” steel wheels fitted with a new set of tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The interior is appointed with brown vinyl upholstery covering the front bucket seats and matching door panels, as well as the rear cargo area. Color-coordinated carpeting is fitted throughout the cabin and luggage shelf, where aftermarket speakers are mounted behind the rear seats. Additional features include lap belts, manually operated windows, and a padded dash. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.

Power comes from a naturally aspirated, air-cooled 1600cc flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission that drives the rear wheels. The seller notes that the vehicle has been consistently maintained, and an oil change was recently performed in preparation for the sale.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “Original VW Karman Ghia coupe 1973 in rare Zambesi green. ( They are original Once! ) Flat/4 1600cc stick on four new Tires. Analog driving at its best. All you need to do is capture all the oxygen from every room. Nostalgia of the Best Era/ Come on down. PS: The USA car is on a New Hampshire title. No import fee.”

    @Artomotive Just New Hampshire Title.

    You skip import tax if You Bring it back to the states. Plan was to register it normally. But Owner had opportunity to scoop childhood dream, 1973 Plymouth GTX 440 powered. 1 spot Garage only . He decided to let Karmann Go. Tough call.
