Available for auction is an original paint 1969 Schwinn Apple Krate 5-Speed Sting-Ray Bicycle, one of the most iconic and collectible muscle bikes ever produced. This rare example is a second-year production model, featuring its factory-applied paint with no touch-ups and all original parts, aside from a period-correct racing stripe seat that was upgraded several years ago. Measuring approximately 55” long and 35” high to the seat, this Apple Krate is equipped with a 16” front wheel with a drum brake and a 20” rear wheel with a Red Line Schwinn Gripper Slik tire and caliper brake. 
The bike also boasts the signature 5-speed Stik Shifter, making it both visually striking and mechanically engaging. Carefully stored in a private collection for years, this Apple Krate is a true investment-grade piece for any vintage bicycle enthusiast or serious Schwinn collector.
