This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS is said to be a factory L-code example that underwent a full restoration under the long-term care of a collector who owned the car for over 20 years. Refinished in a custom Candy Apple Pearl Maroon over a black interior, it is powered by a rebuilt 396ci big-block V8 engine paired with a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission. It features extensive mechanical enhancements with $18k in engine work and $8k in suspension upgrades, new exterior chrome trim, updated upholstery and instrumentation, an upgraded stereo system, and more. Driven approximately 18k miles since engine rebuild, this meticulously restored Camaro RS/SS is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
During its comprehensive restoration, this example was refinished in Candy Apple Pearl Maroon with black SS-style rally stripes and benefits from nine clear coats and a professional ceramic coating. Exterior details include RS hidden headlights, a cowl-induction hood, SS badging, dual stainless steel exhaust outlets, along with new chrome bumpers, side mirrors, door handles, and window trim. It rides on 15” Rally wheels with chrome trim and center caps, wrapped in Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 white-letter tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior has been fully restored and features black vinyl bucket seats with ivory accent stripes and pleated inserts, along with matching rear seats. Additional appointments include replacement carpeting, door panels, headliner, dashboard, and a center console housing an RS shifter. The instrumentation has been upgraded with Dakota Digital gauges, and a modern stereo system replaces the original unit.
Power comes from a 396ci V8 engine, which delivers a dyno-rated 500 HP to the rear wheels through a 3-speed Turbo 400 automatic transmission with an auxiliary cooler. Performance upgrades total over $18k and include a high-rise intake manifold, Holley carburetor, upgraded camshaft and lifters, MSD distributor and 6AL ignition box, a Griffin aluminum radiator, and a stainless-steel fuel tank. Suspension enhancements total an additional $8k and consist of a Martz front suspension package with adjustable coilovers, rack-and-pinion power steering, and disc brakes. The seller states the engine and transmission are original to the chassis.
This sale will include a spare tire and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car was owned by a car collector who owned it for over 20 years. It's been completely restored and garage-kept. It's a beautiful car that is ready to be driven and shown off. Please bid with confidence.”

@ApRhysCasgliad thanks for clarifying that for me. That’s excellent news! Much appreciated.
also thank you for confirming.
@xrpatron Thank you.
@xrpatron Yes it can be added. ApRhysCasgliad answered you question perfectly. Thanks for your help ApRhysCasgliad.
@xrpatron yeah, they actually have pretty identical to the original factory AC you can get for a few thousand. Then you'd cut the openings for the vents above the air controls you see in this car.
What an absolutely beauty!
Excuse my ignorance with this question, but is air conditioning something that can be added back to the car, or is it not feasible due to the restoration/build and/or added expense?
