This 1965 Factory Five Racing MK1 Roadster represents one of the earliest generations of Cobra replicas produced by Factory Five, recognized for its lightweight construction and performance-focused engineering. Finished in white with blue racing stripes over a black interior, this example is powered by a fuel-injected 302ci Ford V8 engine paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. It comes equipped with an electronic MSD ignition system, dual roll hoops, 15” Halibrand-style wheels, and more. Showing approximately 28k miles on the odometer since its completion, this Mk1 Roadster is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida. The lightweight fiberglass body is finished in white with dual blue racing stripes running the length of the car. Exterior details include quick-jack bumperettes, dual black roll hoops, a bullet-style driver’s mirror, a hood scoop, wind wings, a polished aluminum fuel cap, chrome trim accents, and side-exit exhaust pipes. It rides on 15” Halibrand-style faux knock-off wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cockpit is upholstered in black, featuring a pair of low-back bucket seats with vertical pleats, Simpson racing harnesses, and a black dashboard housing a full complement of white-on-black gauges. The driver is presented with a three-spoke steering wheel, a white cue-ball shifter, and a center console with dual cupholders. It is also equipped with sun visors, dash-mounted rearview and side mirrors, a Kenwood head unit with integrated speakers fitted in the rear panel. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order.
Power comes from a Ford-sourced 302ci V8 engine equipped with electronic fuel injection and an MSD electronic ignition system, featuring E303 cams with 9.5:1 compression, Trick Flow Twisted Wedge heads, 24 lb. fuel injectors, a 65mm Explorer throttle body, a 75mm Pro-M mass airflow sensor, an MSD distributor, MAC shorty headers, and 1.6 roller rockers. The engine bay houses a polished “Cobra” air cleaner and black-finned valve covers, while power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission.

@AdenauerForst - thank you for your input.
Okay, I found it. This same car, with an different paint job was listed by seller about 18 months ago. Here: https://www.pcarmarket.com/auction/1965-factory-five-mki-cobra/
The chassis number is the same. Although, the engine compartment pictures initially gave it away. When in that configuration, the car had a Power Products Powerinjection III throttle body injection. Fair to say that the current description is inaccurate. Still may be a nice care, just not an accurate description.
Thanks for the additional photos. Although it appears to be a nice vehicle, the engine description is way off. From the images provided, it is fair to say that is a carbureted setup, likely a Holley, although the images are not clear enough to be sure. The spark plugs insert perpendicular to the heads which leads me to believe they are not Twisted Wedges which have angled spark plug inserts. Can you provide images without the air filter (maybe it is a throttle body FI?) and a build sheet to confirm the internals? Otherwise, I recommend PCAR update the description. Thanks.

Yes, I will be posting more pictures of the engine. It’s been raining all morning here in south beach. Waiting for the rain to stop and sun to come out.
Do you have photos of the engine as described? Pics seem to reflect a carb setup. Thanks.

Please tell us about the suspension setup, front and rear. While we're at it: Is the transmission a t56, or? Has the engine been dyno'd? If not, do you have a hp estimate based on the build? Cam specs? How about date codes on the tires?
What else can you share with us, that you think we should know?
