Representing the second generation of America’s iconic sports car, this 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray Convertible has undergone a comprehensive restoration and performance upgrade while preserving its classic mid-year styling. Powered by a GM-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine paired with a Tremec TKO500 5-speed manual transmission, the car is finished in black with a custom black vinyl interior featuring yellow accent stitching. It is equipped with power-assisted Wilwood disc brakes, side-exit exhaust, QA1 adjustable shocks, chrome 18” Schott wheels, power windows, Dakota Digital instrumentation, air conditioning, a Kenwood touchscreen stereo, and more. This Corvette Sting Ray Convertible is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Pennsylvania.
As part of its extensive restoration, this example was refinished in black under prior ownership. Exterior details include a black soft top, concealed headlamps, chrome bumperettes, a retractable antenna, flip-up fuel cap, decorative hood and fender vents, and dual side-outlet exhaust with polished covers. It rides on chrome-finished 18” five-spoke Schott wheels wrapped in Nitto NT555 G2 tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is trimmed in custom black vinyl upholstery with yellow contrast stitching on the bucket seats, console, and door panels. The equipment includes a three-spoke Corvette-branded steering wheel, along with an upgraded Dakota Digital gauge cluster featuring a 160-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Amenities include climate control, power windows, a center-mounted analog clock, polished door sills, and a Kenwood touchscreen stereo system, which is linked to Focal speakers and a JL Audio amplifier.
Power comes from a GM-sourced 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine installed in 2021 by Triple F Automotive of Fort Worth, Texas. The engine is equipped with a serpentine accessory drive, a polished intake manifold, coated headers, a custom engine cover with yellow accents, and a DeWitts aluminum radiator paired with dual electric cooling fans. The rear wheels are driven through a Tremec TKO500 5-speed manual transmission. Braking is facilitated by Wilwood multi-piston calipers with cross-drilled and slotted rotors at all four corners, while QA1 adjustable shocks and power steering contribute to the car’s handling. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
This sale will include a car cover and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “This car was built professionally with no expense spared. Looks and runs fantastic. A REAL HEAD TURNER!! Contact me with any questions. -Frank”
