Representing the final year of the C1 generation, this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette has undergone a comprehensive restoration featuring an Art Morrison chassis, Watkins Glen Gray finish, red Al Knoch leather upholstery, and an LT1 V8 paired with a 4-speed Gearstar 4L70E automatic transmission. The build includes MagnaFlow exhaust, Vintage Air climate control, Wilwood brakes, 18” Budnik wheels, and much more. Acquired by the seller in October 2021, this thoroughly restored and customized Corvette is now being offered for auction out of South Carolina.
Boasting an Art Morrison replacement chassis, this C1 is finished in Watkins Glen Gray and is said to have received over 400 hours of paint and bodywork. Exterior details include a black retractable soft top, quad headlights, integrated fog lights, a 9-tooth front grille, split chrome bumpers, white-painted side coves, dual exhaust outlets, and chrome brightwork throughout. Red-finished Wilwood brake calipers can be seen beneath the polished 18” Budnik wheels wrapped in Toyo whitewall tires. A collection of images is provided in the gallery.
The interior has been reupholstered in red Al Knoch leather complemented by chrome trim. Instrumentation consists of Dakota Digital HDX gauges installed within the original-style dashboard. Additional equipment includes a high-performance stereo system and a Vintage Air air conditioning system.
Beneath the hood, a 6.2-liter LT1 Gen V V8 engine has been paired with a 4-speed Gearstar 4L70E automatic transmission. The build includes a high-performance radiator, high-flow in-tank fuel pump, MagnaFlow exhaust system, power brake booster, and Wilwood drilled and slotted disc brakes. The seller states that an oil change and spark plug replacement were completed by a local Chevrolet dealer approximately 200 miles ago within the last year.
This sale will include a clean title.

Beautiful car and color combo. Really clean example, is that a speaker cover in the trunk?
But the red over red over red is always eye searing. Imagine this if just the steering wheel was white or the console or seats or even the floor mats were black? Break it up a bit, jmo.
