The Porsche-Diesel Super L 318 stands among the most distinctive and collectible tractors to bear the Porsche name. Powered by a 2,467cc three-cylinder diesel engine paired with a dual-range manual transmission, this 1960 example has been fully restored and resprayed in 2020. It is refinished in red with cream wheels and features dual front headlights, fender-mounted taillights, and a rear three-point hitch with drawbar. As part of its restoration, this example was refinished in red with contrasting cream-finished wheels and red center caps. The restoration included a complete repaint, with all hardware, hardware brackets, fasteners, and linkages refinished or replaced. Exterior details include dual front headlights, fender-mounted taillights, and functional drawbar equipment at the rear. The front wheels wear narrower off-road tires while the rears are fitted with larger agricultural-style rubber. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The open operator station features a black 3-spoke steering wheel, a yellow metal seat pan, a wood-backed seat, a red-painted dash panel, and vintage-style analog gauges. The dashboard houses an hour meter and charge indicator, both set into a textured red panel. Floor pedals, shift linkage, and control arms have received cosmetic reconditioning.
Power comes from an air-cooled 2,467cc three-cylinder diesel engine paired to a dual-range manual transmission, offering four forward gears, reverse, and two selectable ranges. The two-lever system allows the operator to shift between low (I) and high (II) ranges in combination with the main 4-speed gear selector, providing a total of eight forward and two reverse gear combinations. The engine and drivetrain were fully serviced as part of the 2020 restoration. The rear of the tractor includes a three-point hitch, drawbar, and PTO assembly.
