Available for auction is a custom-built set of wide-body fitment wheels designed specifically for the Porsche 911 G-body, 930, M491, or RSR tribute models. These striking wheels feature genuine Fuchs centers mated to authentic BBS Motorsport racing lips and barrels—identified by the signature hook-shaped edge—and assembled with all-new stainless steel hardware as stated by the seller.
The centers are finished in Black Metallic on the face with Satin Black on the inner side, while the barrels are coated in Metallic Silver and the lips sport a brushed satin finish. Genuine BBS valve stems, caps, and stickers are included for a complete factory-spec look. Mounted are brand-new Toyo Proxes R888 tires, sized 225/45R16 front and 245/45R16 rear, with a copy of the invoice provided in the gallery.
The wheels measure 16”x10” ET+32 in front and 16”x11” ET+15 in the rear, offering the aggressive stance ideal for wide-body setups. The seller states the wheels are already boxed and ready for international shipping—a rare opportunity to acquire a professionally assembled, high-performance wheel and tire package. The buyer is responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, shipping, shipping insurance, handling, transactional fees or any miscellaneous fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.

Hi @andersenandy I currently don't have a lucky car to put these on.
Why are you selling these wheels with brand new tires?
Hi @Andersenrandy
Thanks for your questions — these wheels were originally built to fit a 930 Turbo and should be a perfect match for your modified 1980 widebody. The 16" diameter looks absolutely spot-on on G-body 911s, both in stance and proportion — you can see them mounted on my car in the last photo of the gallery for reference.
The Fuchs centers are genuine and were professionally machined from original wheels back in the early 2000s. I recently had a reputable local shop fully refurbish them — they were disassembled, refinished (barrels, lips, and centers repainted), and reassembled using stainless BBS hardware and correct Motorsport-spec components. The shop also confirmed everything is straight and true before reassembly.
The tires are brand new and have zero road use. These wheels are ready to bolt on and enjoy — no need to send them off for inspection unless you really want the peace of mind, but they’re good to go for many years of spirited use.
Let me know if you have any fitment questions — happy to help!
Do you know when these custom wide body fitment wheels were customized and built?
Do you know who did this work?
Do you know when the new tires were mounted?
I have a modified 1980 widebody these would look great on. I am trying to figure out if I would need to send these wheels off to some please like Wheels Technics to have them looked over. Thank you for your help on this action.

@windsurfar I appreciate your enthusiasm for tire safety, but your conclusions here are off-base when applied to this setup. While Toyo's guidelines are great for the average street car or warranty purposes, motorsport and custom applications—like this one—often push beyond OEM specs safely and intentionally.
These wheels are built using genuine Fuchs centers mated to BBS Motorsport barrels, not street-oriented replicas. This is a proven widebody 911/930 fitment that’s been used for decades in track and race scenarios with success. Slight tire stretch is common in motorsport applications to reduce sidewall deflection and improve steering response. It's not inherently unsafe when used correctly—and especially not at the modest stretch levels seen here.
Most importantly, there's no evidence these tires are "seriously overstretched." A 225 tire on a 9–10" wheel and a 245 on a 10.5–11" is not extreme by track-day or vintage racing standards. Many RSR-style builds run this exact combo without issue. The tires seat well, the bead is secure, and there’s no distortion of the contact patch.
Let’s keep things accurate—this is a legitimate, period-correct setup that will work beautifully for the right buyer.
I emailed Toyo Tires regarding the improper wheel sizes you have for these tires. This is excerpt from their email response i just received.
"We would like to take this opportunity to explain why it is critical to ensure that tires are mounted only on rims that fall within the our approved width specifications."
-Improper sidewall support, which can lead to excessive flexing and heat buildup
- Distortion of the tire's contact patch, reducing traction and handling stability
- Uneven wear or bead damage, potentially leading to air loss or tire failure
These conditions not only compromise the performance and safety of the tire but also place excessive and unintended stress on the internal structure of the tire.
For this reason, mounting a tire on a rim size outside the recommended range will void the manufacturer warranty.
"To ensure optimal performance, safety, and warranty coverage, we always recommend referring to our technical specifications, which outline the minimum and maximum approved rim widths for each tire size."
From Toyo tire website minimum and maximum wheel widths allowed for R888R...
for the 225/45 16 tire is 7 - 8.5 inches
for the 245/45 16 tire is 7.5 - 9 inches.

@windsurfar you could not be more wrong, please do you own research before you make disparaging comments on other peoples auctions.
Nice wheels, but do not drive with these tires on them, especially high speed track days which these tires are actually made for. These tires are seriously over stretched. The 225 on the front have a maximum of 8.5 inch width recommendation vs the 10 inch these wheels are. The back tires are worse, the 245's have a maximum width recommendation of 9 inch vs the 11 inch wheels they are on here. Just google "over stretched tire risks" for your own research.
Welcome to the auction and thank you for your interest in this custom-built set of wide-body Fuchs/BBS wheels. Whether you're building a 930, M491, RSR tribute, or another wide-body 911 project, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a high-quality, motorsport-inspired setup that’s ready to bolt on and enjoy. Please feel free to ask any questions—I'm happy to assist throughout the auction. Good luck to all bidders!
