Available for auction is an exceptionally rare and historically significant Fast Masters memorabilia lot from the 1993 Jaguar XJ220 Race Series, which was televised internationally on ESPN to help launch the XJ220. The series featured 51 senior racers competing in identical race-prepared XJ220s, with elimination heats narrowing the field to 10 finalists who battled for podium positions.

This unique lot includes a 1:12 die-cast XJ220 model made exclusively for the series, signed by all 10 finalists with real signatures (not stickers or prints), a framed Jaguar Certificate of Authenticity signed by XJ220 Program Boss Bill Nardin verifying it as one of only six ever made, a framed photo of the 10 finalists posing with an XJ220 race car in full racing gear, detailed literature covering the race series and its results, and an extremely rare original publishing of The Philip Porter XJ220 Book.

The model bears the authentic signatures of legendary racers including Bobby Unser, David Hobbs, Brian Redman, Parnelli Jones, George Follmer, Bob Akin, Eddie Hill, David Pearson, Johnny Rutherford, and Ed McCulloch. Other notable participants in the series who did not make the top 10 include Paul Newman, Bob Bondurant, Bobby Allison, Donnie Allison, Vic Elford, Bill Simpson, and Dick Trickle.

This meticulously curated and well-preserved collection is a must-have for any Jaguar, racing, or motorsports enthusiast. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.

Good Morning, Happy Thursday (Friday jr or Friday eve if you prefer), and welcome to another day of The Fast Masters collection auction.

Before getting more into the precise details of the model, it's worth spending a little time on another component of this collection, the book. An incredible rarity on its own, the Philip Porter XJ220 book could be a stand alone piece. It's hard to tell when it's next to the model, picture, and framed COA, but it's very large and would easily work as a coffee table book; think Z8 coffee table book. It can be displayed in its beautiful case, or on its own showing off its unique cloth-like woven exterior. With nearly 300 large pages of beautiful pictures and XJ220 process documentation, it would make a great addition to any Jaguar or motorsports literature library.

So, this morning's photo drop will feature this amazingly rare book. Enjoy the pictures, and have a great Thursday.

Happy Tuesday everyone, and welcome to the 2nd day of the auction of this amazing lot. I hope folks got through their dreaded Monday without too much hassle.

We've since added that walk around video that I mentioned yesterday, and it's directly above. I would recommend that folks give that a watch as it's narrated by yours truly, very informative, and shows every bid of the model, inside and out.

So, as I also mentioned yesterday, there are many more pictures of the model, the certificate, the photo, and the book, and they're all ready to go. So, let's check out today's first batch, and I hope you all have a great Tuesday.

Good Afternoon Everyone, Happy Manic Monday, and welcome to this incredibly RARE lot of Motorsports Memorabilia. Whether or not you're a Jaguar enthusiast, and if you were around or at least of car loving age in 1993, then you remember what the buzz was like about the XJ220; it was nothing short of EARTH SHATTERING! We were in the middle of a worldwide financial crisis, and no country was immune. Mighty Ford was about to put the Kibosh on their Ford GT40 "comeback" supercar, Audi had just scrapped plans to start producing their Avus supercar (look it up, it was pretty awesome), and whatever other supercar projects other manufacturers had in the works, they too were getting shelved. And even though it didn't get the original engine it was designed with for obvious budgetary reasons, Jaguar saw this amazing car all the way through to market.

To help, indeed market the launch, Jaguar Cars and ESPN teamed up to put on the race series FAST MASTERS. The series featured identically prepared XJ220 cars similarly to The Porsche Cup, Lamborghini Trofeo, and Ferrari Cup series. For more hype, 51 of the most iconic racing veterans from Formula One, IndyCar, Nascar, NHRA, and Endurance racing were invited to compete, and compete they did. You can see the impressive total list of drivers and read up on that in the summary picture pages shown.

When all was said and done, even after that lawsuit brought by a group of owners (actually potential owners since they just had deposits for orders), some 200 or so total cars, street and race, were produced. So, to say that XJ220's are rare today would be an understatement. But, even more rare, is this 1 of 6 die cast model signed by the top 10 finalists of that race series. The signed Jaguar Certificate of Authenticity and actual photo of those 10 racers makes for an impressively complete package. The super rare Philip Porter XJ220 Book is just icing on the cake. So rare in fact, that the only other copy we could find on offer ANYWHERE is going for $2,400 by itself.

Over the next 7 days, I'll be discussing and presenting this amazing lot from every angle. Folks who follow my auctions know that I’ve always got a stash of back up pictures to add in as we go; and this listing is no exception. In fact, I've shot the model like I would a real car; outside, inside, top to bottom. Obviously, discussing a model and book for 7 days isn’t as exciting as watching driving videos, but I’ve got one of those. No, not a driving video, but a video showcasing and discussing the model. Look for that to drop shortly. I'll try to keep things as interesting as possible with the discussion as well as the picture adding.

Please take the time to look everything over and you'll see how amazing this collection is. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great evening.
