This early Porsche Speedster replica by Intermeccanica is said to have been crafted during the mid-1970s and cared for by a single owner until the seller’s acquisition approximately 5 years ago. Throughout the past 20 years, this example is reported to have been maintained by a reputable shop known as Cory Motors in Santa Barbara, California, and was always garage-stored. Finished in red over black upholstery, this Speedster Replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
Finished in red, the hand-laid composite bodywork is paired with a tubular steel perimeter chassis designed and fabricated in-house by Intermeccanica. Equipment includes a black soft top and matching boot cover, gold badging, chrome bumpers and trim, dual mirrors, a quad exhaust system, and 15” 5-lug steel wheels with chrome hubcaps and new tires. The seller notes a blemish on the right of the rear bumper, and some spider cracks are noted on the right rear area. Additional images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the cabin presents a pair of black leather upholstered bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and charcoal carpeting. A three-spoke Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel frames factory Porsche VDO instrumentation including a tachometer restored by North Hollywood Speedometer.
Power is derived from a 2,180cc flat-four engine with dual Weber carburetors. The rear wheels are driven by a 4-speed manual transmission and stopping power comes from front disc brakes and rear drums. The seller states the car has been meticulously maintained by the specialists at Cory Motors in Santa Barbara, California, for the last 20 years. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title, a toolkit, a spare tire, a car cover, and sales literature.
The seller would like you to know: “This car has been driven over 150 days per year and I've owned it for almost 5 years. Fun fast and a head-turner and it sounds amazing. Last year I added new tires and I had the tack restored by North Hollywood Speedometer.”

@Ferry titled as a 1973 with a California title. No smog required.
How is she titeled and what year?
@ppalmer It does have a black canvas top. The top has not been used much since the car has been garaged its entire life. It is boxed up in dry storage and comes with the car.
