According to the seller, this sign originates from a South German Ferrari dealer, as this sign was replaced with an updated model in the early 1980s and has since been carefully stored until its discovery last year.

Distinctive features of this sign include the oval dot on the letter "i" which was characteristic of the 1970s and 1980s Ferrari designs.
