Available for auction is an illuminated Lotus sign. The seller states this is a genuine sign that was previously one side of the original totem sign that welcomed all visitors and factory employees at the Hethel factory in Norfolk, England.

The impressive sign measures approximately 39 1/2” inches in length, 43” inches in height, with a depth of 8” inches. The Lotus emblem itself measures approximately 2’ feet in diameter and extends out from the aluminum structure by 3” inches.

The sign is constructed from an aluminum housing that features a very striking Lotus logo at its center. The Lotus logo itself is very detailed and quite literally a work of art.  The seller states that the original lighting is not included as it formed part of the internal totem poll structure, however the sign has had a simplistic 220v LED lighting unit installed which works perfectly.

The seller state that the condition is exceptional, especially considering it has endured almost a decade of Britain’s finest weather. The seller notes there are some minor age related marks, one can been seen just under the Lotus emblem (please see gallery). The Lotus emblem is in superb condition with no cracks or damage to the chrome plating. Recognized as a coveted gem among enthusiasts and collectors, Lotus signage is a rarity due to the limited number of dealerships and the fervent following the brand has garnered over the years. Owning this sign is not just an acquisition; it's an investment into the remarkable heritage of Lotus. Don't miss the chance to own a piece of Lotus's captivating journey. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

The seller would like you to know: “This sign has been in my Father's collection for the past five years approximately and was one of the last significant pieces he had bought.  The sign was purchased at auction shortly after the it was officially removed by Lotus and replaced with the newer style logo.  This really is one of a select number of items that I will personally miss. The sign dates back to the late 2000's era and was on display for around a decade before it was taken down and replaced."

Hello everyone and thank you for the questions. I sincerely apologize for the delay in my response as it has been a very busy working day for me.

First of all, I just want to say a very special thank you to @herzcon for the bid that was placed earlier today - it is genuinely appreciated and it is great to hear from you again!

I also wish to thank @DanA for the very kind comments and for the interest shown.

With regards to shipping this sign, the simple answer is yes it can be shipped anywhere in the world and at a very reasonable cost considering the size and weight of this sign.

There is no question that this sign will require a bespoke shipping crate which will cost approximately $400. The crate will meet all the necessary environmental standards as well.

The shipping is best undertaken by FedEx as they offer a door-to-door crate and pallet service for the USA and most of the world as well. The shipping cost to the U.S. mainland is generally the same I have found and it is estimated to cost $700. These are educated estimates at this stage, but please keep in mind that the price could be less or indeed it could be slightly more.

Thank you once again for all the interest shown and please do not hesitate to contact me if any further questions come to mind.

    Best regards
