Available for auction is an authentic illuminated Gulf sign from the very early 1980’s. The seller states this sign is the more desirable E6542 model and is constructed of an aluminum backing and frame with the iconic Gulf logo molded from polycarbonate acrylic. The seller states the sign is presented in overall excellent used condition with no scratches or dents, showing only very light patina consistent with age and prior use. 
The original manufacturer sticker affixed to the enclosure indicates production by Kolux Division from Kokomo, Indiana on April 1982. The marking on the inferior aspect of the polycarbonate face of the sign indicates Kolux Polycarb 1981. The sign measures approximately 22″ wide by 20″ tall by 7″ deep and weighs 12 pounds. The internal sign components are accessed via the sign’s removable face. 
In an effort to preserve the signs originality, the seller elected to keep the original and functional fluorescent lighting and wiring. The seller states the sign will be professionally packed and shipped in a custom wooden crate within a custom box to ensure safe delivery. The buyer is responsible for tariffs, duties, customs, shipping, shipping insurance, handling, transactional fees or any miscellaneous fees. I just uploaded an additional photo of the original manufacturer sticker to emphasize its great condition. The still visible date of assembly (04/82) is consistent with the marking on the polycarbonate face of the sign (Kolux Polycarb 1981)
