Available for auction is an illuminated Gulf sign from the early 1980’s. The seller states the sign is in very good condition with no major scratches or dents. This sign is date stamped 1981 by the manufacturer, Kolux Polycarb. All other manufacturer stamps, stickers, and decals are present and can be viewed in the gallery. The sign measures approximately 20” in diameter. The sign is constructed of an aluminum backing and frame with the iconic Gulf logo molded from polycarbonate acrylic.
The internal sign components are accessed via the sign’s removable face. The internal illumination has been upgraded to LED lights and is powered by 110v circuitry with a two-prong US-style plug. The seller states all the original fluorescent light fixtures have been removed and retained and will be included with the purchase. @bmackrell sorry for the slow response. It only weighs about 20 pounds now that the fluorescent fixture and ballast have been removed. I’m including those in the sale as they were working fine when I removed them, but I’ll box them up separately.
Shipping on the sign should be reasonable.
