Up for auction is this Porsche 911 2.2 1971 911/07 Engine 6114806 complete for parts or rebuilding. Having been stored in a garage for the past 25 years, all long-block components are present and it is in need of a full nut and bolt restoration. The magnesium case is stated to be covered in "crud" but has never been split. The engine is reportedly seized and will require a full tear-down for a proper assessment. As per the seller, “ this is a true diamond in the rough.”
These are the non-counterweighted crank series motors but they did have piston squirters.
This sale also includes the matching lightweight magnesium, 901 5-speed transaxle that was attached (original) to the engine.
