@MH911 Good morning, thank you for getting in touch. I am based in Scotland in Edinburgh.
The South West is approximately 350 miles away (assuming your friend is in England) but I am more than happy for your friend to view the sign if they can manage it.
Please just let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
Kind regards
Where are you in the UK? Would like to have someone look at who lives in SW. Thanks. Mike

@EGDO Good afternoon and thank you for the question.
My Father purchased the sign in October of 2017. I will also state that this sign was part of a collection that the gentleman had and my Father managed to obtain five additional pieces which included a vintage 10ft Rolls Royce sign panel and a vintage Pirelli sign board. I can supply photographs of these items as well if required.
I do sincerely appreciate the bids you have placed. If I can help with anything else please just let me know.
Kind regards

@gbutler911 Good afternoon and thank you for getting in touch. I apologize for the slight delay.
I shall do my very best to respond to your questions with accuracy.
First and foremost, as far as authenticity is concerned, I unfortunately can not state for absolute certainty what dealership this sign came from. To be completely transparent I do not possess any official papers or invoices for the sign, nor can I see any obvious identification markings.
All that I have is a few notes from the diary.
According to my Father’s notes, the sign was purchased from a gentleman in England after seeing it advertised online.
As is always the case a certain element of discernment is required. What was compellingly apparent I imagine was the sheer size of the sign, it being double sided and it’s slightly unusual format (being round in shape).
It caught his eye and that was that.
Over many years my Father had amassed an extensive collection. Within the variety of signage and the various articles of automobilia are a number of genuine and irrefutable pieces from the Ferrari brand. I have attached a photograph of just one example which bears many similar characteristics to the one being auctioned.
Some individuals are motivated by provenance and some wish to acquire what the like when they see it and I would rather everyone knows where they stand prior to placing any further bids. I also regret being the bearer of negative news, but not all authentic signs come with stickers or engravings as you commonly see today. Not everything was made in 1975 or 1998.
I refrained from stating in the PCarmarket auction submission that this piece was authentic, and for a very noble reason because I simply can not. The sign has genuinely been used that is without doubt - but where?
In closing the sign looks truly superb. It is very well made and functions without fault, but I simply can not confirm beyond any doubt where, what and whom manufactured the sign and who or what garage prominently displayed it in the past.
If I can help with anything else please just let me know.
Kind regards
Was this sign mounted at a dealership? Do you have any documentation that this is a genuine Ferrari sign or is this an aftermarket recreation?

Hello everyone and thank you for viewing this auction.
I just want to let you know that worldwide shipping of this sign is available. As of yet I have not packaged the sign as it is currently in storage. However, I have listed below an estimated cost of the shipping:
UK - £70
Europe - €120
U.S.A. - $200
The price may vary slightly (possibly less and possibly a little more). I am always keen to make sure items are very well packaged and as a result the shipping estimation may change slightly. I always use UPS and each item is fully insured against damage or loss.
If you have any questions then please just let me know. Due to current working commitments and the time zone difference, there may be a slight delay in my response. However, I will always reply to any message as soon as I can.
I want to thank you for the interest you have shown and I wish you all the very best of success in the auction.
