No self respecting individual would buy these to use them . . . I just think they’ll make cool wall art. There is no need for analysis as to their fitness for use (in my opinion).
I was a master ski mechanic in college and was certified in Marker, Solomon and Tyrolia all major mountaineering bindings as well as all Nordic tech. As others have mentioned no resort or indemnified shop can legally work on the bindings now due to age.
The skiis could be re-mounted with new bindings but the ski profile and core technology is so old as well it would be a total waste of money. As some one who literally repaired fvck ups from other ski shops from around the country those skiis did not fly off a car rack. if that were the case the heels and toes of the binding would be ground off - I have seen that many times trust me.
I managed a fleet of 300 rental skiis every season and those tops look they were abused by a novice skier in an overcrowded resort with lots of crossed tips. The bases could be repaired to new without any issues at significant cost but what would be the point if they're not worth skiing on now. In my opinion these should be viewed as nothing more than Porsche memorabilia for display purposes. if anyone has any specific ski questions etc about these I would be happy to answer them for you. Those skis have had a very hard life but would make cool wall art for someone's mountain retreat.
Both look well used but The condition of the 181’s is really laughable, did these fly off a ski rack and down a rock embankment while going about 120mph?
Had the IMS been updated ?
@767Gallagher have you never heard anyone say; “ I know a guy “ ?
If those skis are older than 10 years old no ski shop will touch them. They will not take the liability on to adjust the bindings

@eliot911 My understanding is that the serial numbers were issued at the PD store level and not at the factory level. These were likely purchased at the same time as a "his and her" set of two. The PD store worker possibly assigned the same number to both pairs.
Can both sets be 24 of 50?
@JB911 Spellcheck got me "Chingon"
Nice bid. These skis are definitely chignon!
Would be cool to get these out on the slopes. But they're in rough shape. Would need new sets of bindings to be safe, and some reconditioning.
