Available for auction is a unique RUF aluminum crest. Crafted from 1/4" thick aluminum, this crest features an eye-catching convex curve and measures 22" x 16", and weighs around 8 lbs. A sticker on the back reads "RUF Automobile GmbH Mindelheimer Straße 21 87772 Pfaffenhausen D- Germany".
RUF Automobile has a rich history that dates back to its founding in 1939 by Alois Ruf Sr. Initially established as a German service garage, RUF ventured into vehicle design in the late 1940s. This passion for automotive customization and design was passed down to Alois Ruf Jr., who began servicing and restoring Porsches in the early 1960s from his father's garage. It wasn't until 1975, following the passing of Alois Sr., that the first RUF model Porsche came to life. Throughout its illustrious history, RUF has continued to create bespoke and customized Porsches, constantly evolving and pushing boundaries in automotive design.
