Available for auction is a rare first edition authentic Porsche Drivers Selection enamel crest. This enamel crest measures 52cm x 40cm and is larger than the more commonly seen crests produced later. This first edition crest was produced in 2001 as part of a display commemorating the history of the Porsche symbol and was limited to just 1,000 examples. This Porsche Driver's selection crest is date stamped 2011. The Porsche crest is based on the coat of arms of Stuttgart featuring the leaping horse, and the state of Wiirttemberg coat of arms established in 1933.
