Available for auction is a highly sought-after Porsche Diesel Service sign. German conglomerate Mannesmann purchased the rights to the Porsche diesel engine and the Allgaier tractor designs and set up a state-of-the-art production facility in an old zeppelin factory in 1954, producing a wide series of tractors under the Porsche-Diesel Motorenbau GmbH nameplate in 1956 before production ended in 1963. The seller states this rare sign was displayed in dealerships in the late 50s early 60s. Although brandishing some patina, this rare sign is in exceptional condition for its age. Measuring 25" x 14" with a 1/2" lip on the rear of the sign, this piece will make a great addition to your collection. Buyer is responsible for shipping and handling costs.
