Available for auction is an illuminated Porsche sign. The sign is composed of seven individual letters with metal backings and red translucent faces. Each letter measures 2’ ft. x 1’ ft. and come pre-drilled for easy mounting. When spaced correctly, the sign measures over 18’ft long. The sign's quality is evident through the use of premium materials in its construction, and it exhibits only minor wear from its outdoor use.
The seller states the sign is original and was purchased from another collector out of Europe. The sign is powered by 220v but will come with a 100-220v adaptor. The “Porsche” decal on the back of one of the letters means nothing to prove its authenticity. Original dealer signs are made all over the world by many, many sign manufacturers using the specifications supplied by Porsche. They don’t then put a random decal on them with the Porsche name. Most have their original manufacturer marking but that is not Porsche.
These signs are listed every few weeks and they all have a story and claim to be original dealer signs. There is no way to verify and the sellers know this. There is a fellow in Italy that has been selling these types of signs and memorabilia for years saying they are original. Buyer make sure to do your due diligence!

Hi,
I would like to clear things up regarding the previous comments. This is a genuine sign, and all but one of the signs listed are other sellers with similar signs. I was lucky enough to buy this particular sign from a German collector during a trip last year to the Nurburgring.
I am based in Manhattan, NYC - the winning bidder can come and pick it up from me, or I can ship worldwide.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of these signs they rarely come with documentation, so later today I will upload more pictures to the listing so bidders can see every angle of this sign close up and make sure they are happy with it before bidding.

I would not mind if the sign is not genuine but would expect to pay the right price. Thanks for bringing this to our attention as I recently bought a Land Rover sign from the same seller.
I want to make everyone aware that this Porsche sign is not genuine. I knew I would find this item for sale again and I am very confident its the same seller too.
This sign has been sold at least 20 times on websites in Europe and the seller in all cases is from the UK. The location setting is exactly the same, just altered the positioning/layout. The seller says Manhattan is his location - I very much doubt it.
I bought one of these alleged 'genuine' Porsche signs and paid a five figure sum for them. I was conned and I have been regretting it ever since. The reason I know these are replicas as they would never stand the test of being able to be displayed outdoors. They have the incorrect structure for prevention of rain and they are literally just cheap folded aluminum with plastic fonts. When I received them I thought they were far to clean and new looking and I was sadly right.
This message may get removed but I want to warn others that this item has done the rounds multiple times and the seller has made a small fortune from it. I know of four sales platforms this seller uses and I could supply more links if needed.
