@911Love Hello, thank you for the question. It has an operating voltage of 230V.
Many thanks
@911Love Just saw your response about this below. Please ignore my question.

What is the operating voltage? Thanks.
Hello everyone,
I just want to thank you all for bidding on the sign and should anyone need any further information before the auction ends then I will certainly do my best to respond as soon as possible.
I felt to also add that the sign was manufactured by a company called Serenari in Italy as a special commission for Porsche. The labels are all present.
The sign can also be hung using the original cord (which was an additional feature but not the intended long term fitting of the sign) along with screw hole mountings on the reverse of the sign at either side.
Many thanks again for all your interest.
Kind regards

@vo152 @vo152Thank you very much for your thorough recommendations. I enjoy a workman's challenge and may just follow the best process that you advised (if I win this auction). Have a nice day!!
@PorscheMan3 Good evening and thank you so much for asking this very important question.
If you were to change the internal power supply to the lighting then yes you most certainly could then attach a US plug to operate the sign. This really is the best way to ensure the light functions safely, and to enjoy it easily by simply plugging it into the socket.
All that is required is to remove the external screen and uninstall the internal system (which will probably be quite small in size even though the sign is rather large). The new wiring and power supply for the US region would then be fitted and this would then allow you to simply connect the US plug into the mains supply in the wall and the light will work. This is the recommended way to ensure a safe operating system and to enjoy long term ease of use.
I would always recommend the advice and services of a qualified electrician if anyone is not completely confident in undertaking the work. The work involved is not actually that taxing or difficult and I very much doubt it will be of significant expense.
The other alternative to powering the sign safely is to use a device called a 'step down' converter.
The voltage used throughout Europe (including the UK) has been harmonised since 2003 at a nominal 230v 50 Hz (formerly 240V in UK, 220V in the rest of Europe) but this does not mean there has been a real change in the supply.
The supply in the USA is 110V which is less than what this sign is set up for and therefore a 'step down' in supply is required. The step down converters available on the market today are advanced enough (and safe enough) to simply plug in the European plug into the converter (with the converter plugged into the USA mains supply socket in the wall) and simply to turn it on.
This device converts the voltage power for safe and easy use. The only downside is it involves having an additional device to hide away or place on a shelf.
The cost of a converter ranges from $70 to $100 on average. They are certainly very convenient to have for instant use and offer the ability to support a range of other socket styles such as UK sockets and other variants (in Europe, there are actually six different socket styles).
That being said, my advice would be to invest the money into changing the supply to a US operating system. The cost is unlikely to be that much more but the benefits and ease of use are greater.
The other option to consider is to uninstall the current system and install LED lighting.
If I can help with anything else please just let me know.
Kind regards
Can this item be converted to 110/120 volt and the plug changed to an USA standard? Thanks

Hello everyone, thank you for viewing this auction listing.
I just wanted to let everyone know that I am willing to package and post the sign worldwide.
I have not yet packaged the sign, however I have obtained estimates from UPS based on the dimensions I have (and allowing for the potential size of the packaging as well) and the cost of shipping to the following regions with a fully insured service is as follows:
United Kingdom: £50
Mainland Europe: €80 to €100
United States of America: $150 to $175
If I can help with any questions you may have then please feel free to contact me and I will do my very best to assist.
Thank you
