Available for auction is a Porsche 911 engine block coffee table. The engine was featured in 996 model Porsche 911’s. The table measures approximately 18” in height, 19” wide, and weighs roughly 70 lbs.
This beautiful coffee table was created from a Porsche 996 engine block and finished with a large piece of tempered glass (30" x 40") mounted on top. The glass is supported by two supports bolted to the block with rubber tips. The seller states the entire block was painted bronze with all manufacture stampings visible. The table is a beautiful statement piece that will enhance any space or garage. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.

@airman1183 no issues with the glass very minor surface scratches but extremely faint, I think if I try to I should be able to get them out before shipping and yes glass will be removed for shipping... in reference to where the glass sits, it's sits on top of the 2 bolts which is even with the part of the block that attaches to the transmission so it sits on that as well, it's very sturdy
Bid in the amount of $496
Thanks. For some reason I would’ve expected it to be much heavier.
Any chips or issues with the glass? And can you confirm it’s mounted not just on those two visible bolts but in another location? Is it four mount points or three? Hard to tell from pics.
And would the glass be removed for shipping I assume?
Thanks.
Apologies I was away on holiday travels
I never actually got a chance to weigh the engine block and guesstimated the weight, it definitely feels under 100 pounds, I'll have it weighed tomorrow, this is 100% a Porsche 996 engine block and not a 3d print or mold

@IAMSEMLOH please see questions below. Thanks.
Like the previous comment, can you tell us how the engine block is only 70lbs? It seems as though it should be much heavier.
Very cool. Can you describe the materials used and the process that this was created? At just 70 pounds, it’s very light so obviously is not an actual block. Is it a 3D print or mold and what is the material? Thanks.
