Up for auction is this rare piece of Porsche history, an original operating manual for the legendary Porsche 910 race car. With only 28 examples produced between 1966 and 1967, this unique manual is written in German and has been in the seller’s possession for over 45 years since he acquired it at the factory. Update circular No. 3 is included and several handwritten notes appear throughout. This Porsche operating manual is now being offered for auction out of New Orleans, Louisiana and makes the perfect addition to any collection.
The manual is held in a 4-ring maroon binder designated for a Porsche “Typ 910". All pages are fully intact, though circular No. 3 is torn at the top and the cover page is slightly stained. Remaining in good overall condition for its age, the rings shows some rust and the pages some yellowing.
As a successor to the 906, the 910 was equipped with either a mid-mounted 2.0L flat-six or a 2.2L flat-eight. Internally known as the 906/10, the 910 was lighter, more powerful, and stiffer than the 906. The 910 also featured 13" Formula 1-style center-lock wheels. Different gear ratios were available as shown in the gearing chart provided in the manual.
This version of the 910 operating manual is equipped with update circular letter No. 3, however, later ones are not included. No. 1 and No. 2 are believed to be incorporated into this version of the manual due to the later publish date of July 1967.

Nice piece of documentation. I have about 100 red binders and some unique pre-70s Porsche North America training materials. This 910 manual is the first I've seen. Very cool piece.
