Available for auction is a pair of illuminated RUF Automobile signs. This "package deal" consists of one large-scale 7' X 3' feet (82" x 40” inch) sign and another 3' X 1' 1/2 feet (36" x 6" inch) sign. Its construction consists of a black aluminum metal housing and translucent German lexan emerald green face. 
The iconic RUF brand has stood for excellence in the automotive world at the highest levels. Located in the heart of Bavaria, Germany, Rüf Automobile is a family-owned car manufacturer. The proud long history of RUF Automobile started in 1939 by Alois Ruf Sr. as a German service garage but later began experimenting with vehicle designs in the late 1940s. His love of automobile customization and design was passed down to Alois Jr. when he began servicing and restoring Porsches in the early 60s. It wasn't until 1975 after the passing of Alois Sr. that the first RUF model Porsche came into existence. The RUF 930 was officially unveiled in 1977, followed by the naturally aspirated 911 SCR in 1978.
Today, RUF still continues its long history of creating custom Porsches. The family business stands out not only due to its in-house manufactured high-performance and elegant vehicles but also for its attention to detail and craftsmanship which is evident in every RUF car that leaves the factory.
The two RUF signs are both stated to be in near-perfect soft restoration condition as the old neon tubes and ballast were removed and the sign was updated with LED internal lighting. The signs are powered via an American plug type-B. 
The seller states these signs come from the vaunted private collection of one of the Country's premier RUF Porsche collectors who are liquidating some of his RUF cars and RUF artifacts. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.
