Available for auction is a factory illuminated Porsche dealership sign with original aluminum frame. The seller states this illuminated sign was removed from a Porsche dealership in the 80’s and put into storage leaving it in original collector grade condition. This sign measures 49 1/2" x 97" and is wired for a standard US outlet but may need to be rewired for optimal use. Included with the sale is the original sockets for fluorescent lights and original ballast. The seller states the sign is in good condition only displaying minor signs of weathering due to it being used primarily outdoors. Original memorabilia is hard to come by as dealerships are instructed by Porsche to destroy them. Don't miss your opportunity to add a rare piece of Porsche history to your collection. Buyer is responsible for shipping, handlings, and fees.

Some provenance for the history buffs: In the late 80s, the Porsche-Audi co dealership model was coming to an end. Porsche-Audi dealerships were being split up to become independent Porsche, or Audi. Bernardsville Porsche-Audi in New Jersey changed to become Audi of Bernardsville, hence the Porsche sign had to go. Also in central NJ, Autohaus was a highly respected Porsche repair and restoration shop. The owner was friends with the Manager at Bernardsville Porsche-Audi and was able to secure the sign when it came down. He has stewarded the sign for all these years and is now ready to pass it to its new owner. I am selling on behalf of Autohaus. Happy bidding everyone!
