Available for auction is an original Plymouth neon sign, believed to be manufactured in the 1940s-1950s, featuring the brand’s classic "Clipper" flag design. When powered on, the white neon tubing emits vibrant colors—red-pink on the outer tubing and yellow tones illuminating the Plymouth lettering.
The sign is mounted on a metal frame with a transformer at the bottom, both believed to be aftermarket additions, with a sticker indicating production by Everbrite, Inc. in Greenfield, WI, and a manufactured date of March 5, 1993. It is wired for 120V US circuitry and controlled via an ON/OFF pull string switch. Plymouth, introduced by Chrysler in 1928, quickly gained popularity for its affordability and reliability, competing with Ford and Chevrolet.
The brand became known for innovative designs, especially in the 1950s and 1960s with models like the Belvedere and Fury, before being discontinued in 2001. The seller states this sign remains in great condition with some wear consistent with its age—an eye-catching collectible with bright, fully intact neon. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees. PCARMARKET is not responsible for anything lost or damaged during shipping.
