Available for auction is an illuminated Shell Oil company sign. The sign measures 59” in height with a length of 59”. The sign is constructed of a metal frame with a translucent face. The seller states the sign is believed to be from the late 70’s and has some minor patina, 2 small imperfections on the left side but is in overall good condition. The sign is illuminated by 230v fluorescent lighting, but the seller states they would be willing to convert the sign to 12v LED lighting at the buyer’s request.

No back pictures or illuminated. Am assuming that’s when the 2 defects show. A 59” single sided shell sign for $7300. I’m not one to be critical and I usually keep my comments to myself except when asked because I am an evaluator for auction such as mecum and worth point. This is a $1200 sign at best. It’s a level 6 with a value rate of a 37 in its current condition. Less than 6% of all Florissant flawless 10/100 signs sell for more than $5000. Especially gas/oil also because most are smaller in stature and are not doable sided. So unless it’s a family heirloom and you have it set at a I don’t want to sell price. You are on it. But if you would like to really sell it you are extremely far from wanting to really sell it. I’m just trying to help. Maybe you’re new to the show. That’s all I’m doing. I’m not a no it all I’m a no it most and I too sell. Sorry if you feel offended that wasn’t my intention
