Available for auction is a stunning and rare illuminated RUF Automobile sign. According to the seller, this large-scale 7' X 3' (82" x 40”) sign was displayed at the only American RUF Dealership in Dallas, Texas. 
The iconic RUF brand has stood for excellence in the automotive world. Located in the heart of Bavaria, Germany, Rüf Automobile is a family-owned car manufacturer. In addition to the family name of the founder Alois Ruf Sr., Ruf stands for engineering excellence, originality, passion, and pure driving excitement. The vaunted history of RUF Automobile started in 1939 by Alois Ruf Sr. as a German service garage but later began experimenting with vehicle designs in the late 1940s. His love of automobile customization and design was passed down to Alois Jr. when he began servicing and restoring Porsches in the early 60s. It wasn't until 1975 after the passing of Alois Sr. that the first RUF model Porsche came into existence. The RUF 930 was officially unveiled in 1977, followed by the naturally aspirated 911 SCR in 1978. Today, RUF still continues its long history of creating custom Porsches. The family business stands out not only due to its in-house manufactured high-performance and elegant vehicles but also for its attention to detail and craftsmanship which is evident in every RUF car that leaves the factory. Besides Ruf Automobile GmbH's headquarters and its subsidiary in Pfaffenhausen, the company is represented in Canada, Chile, Great Britain, China, Thailand, and Japan, but no longer in America which makes this sign's provenance so collectible and coveted.
The sign is stated to be in near-perfect soft restoration condition as the old neon tubes and ballast were removed and the sign was updated with LED internal lighting. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

However, I can assist you with obtaining (exact) shipping quotes from two local companies who I have utilized in the past that can get this rare iconic sign to you in excellent and perfect condition.

This one is from the RUF dealership that was in Dallas Texas (see gallery photos) that was disbanded some years ago.
The auction 2 months ago that you were the second highest bidder on (Boattail where you Bid in the amount of $6,110) that is in the link that I attached came from the Canada RUF Salon.
These are two totally different RUF signs that have been curated from our extensive Porsche collection of signs and Porsche artifacts.
An exciting and rare second opportunity for you to acquire this unique original RUF signage @Boattail.

This sign once hung that the only American RUF Dealership that was in Dallas Texas.
It is a stunning piece to marvel at and It is truly the kind of rare unique RUF PORSCHE artifact that is almost impossible to be seen on the open Porsche collector marketplace.
Because of its large size, It will make an fantastic addition to any elite private Porsche collection, most especially if you're a fan of the legendary and iconic RUF Porsche brand.
It's unlikely that anything like this beautiful RUF sign will ever come available in the collector marketplace again.
