Available for auction is a large 1979 illuminated Rolex clock sign. According to the seller, this rare Authorized Rolex Sales & Service Clock was housed at the famed Gearys Rolex dealer in Beverly Hills California. 
The sign is constructed of a metal cabinet with the Rolex Lexan face and is illuminated by the upgraded California Clean Energy SB 100 specifications LED lighting inside. The sign measures approximately 48" x 24" x 6" and weighs roughly about 30 pounds. 
The seller states the Quartz clockwork has been fully serviced and works flawlessly in its full functionality and keeps excellent time, with the classic Rolex perpetual sweeping secondhand movement.
Rolex had these sign clocks in their Authorized Service Centers and were all the rage in the late '70s and throughout the 1980s. The signs were known to be displayed in two sizes. The more common 36" X 18" clocks were all battery-powered, and the rare larger-scale clocks were 48" X 24" and electrically powered.
There are less than 10 to 20 of these highly prized and coveted Rolex clocks in private hands, and they rarely come onto the open collector marketplace. This Rolex clock/sign would make an incredible addition to any Rolex Collector or motorsport enthusiast as Rolex has been the face of racing for decades. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

@finallygonedark The Rolex clock sign is completely restored and It is an original Rolex clock sign that has been painstakingly revitalized and brought back to its perfect luster and is fully operational with the clock mechanism having me serviced and recalibrated as you can see in the videos keeping perfect time and in its beautiful perfection in spite of its 44 years of age.
Rare items like this Rolex clock sign really can't be "reproduced" given the strict licenses that Rolex has in effect worldwide.
When renowned Beverly Hills Businessman and Jeweler Thomas Blumenthal had reacquired the Geary's store for his family back in 2003, he completely remolded the old Beverly Hills Rolex boutique.
During this process of the Rolex store's renovation and remodel, the mindset was: "in with the new and out with the old" when he reopened the Rolex boutique on Rodeo Drive.
I've owned the sign since 2004 when I was able to acquire the rare piece directly from a Beverly Hills Estate sale and at that time I was given the history and documentation of this vaunted and unique Rolex Artifact.
Earlier, you made an inquiry to see photos of the back and the sides of the clock.
But I was out of town at the time, I'm now back and I will be posting some images of the rear and the sides of the cabinet as well as a video later today.
