good luck to all later bidders. around
to verify the whole thing again. Look at the blacked out serial number on the power pack, this is from Porsche, which means the advertisement was in use. in Germany everything has a number or there is a rule for German thoroughness

@JMS935 I just wanted to underline that. I didn't say anything. the second version that can be seen from the dealer is also the newer version. I wasn't aware that the recording there had changed, unfortunately I can't know everything either.

but someone who has had original porsche parts in hand can actually see the workmanship. a tin, a letter. the black increase actually sees immediately that this is the original.

right the attachment is missing but this is easy to imitate and to put the sign on the wall.

@seller - You are very defensive, I never questioned the sign’s originality. Where do you see that in my post? It’s isn’t in there anywhere. I questioned it being complete, which it clearly is not based on your own images you have provided of other dealership signs. You went straight into defensive mode instead of answering either of my questions. Just look at your “O” for instance, it only has 1 peg hole at the bottom when the dealership “O” is showing 2 pegs at the bottom of it. Something is off with this, to me it looks like they are clearly missing their backplates with the pegs that connect them to the wall, but you seem to have no interest in helping potential bidders understand what is actually up for auction. This is a just a floor sign without further pieces or additional modifications to it, that’s what I was trying to confirm.

@JMS935 also look at the last picture in my gallery, if my things are not original then i don't know which ones should be.

@JMS935 Hello, of course my wiring is provisional, the original wiring is no different, just not visible. everything leads to the same path, the letters glow.

look at the workmanship, the letters are made of sheet metal, the black plexiglass is not just a flat plate, you can see it in the back of the letters, no one would ever do such a job for a replica.

the original spacers for the wall are not included, but with a little skill it is easy to mount on the wall. you take a couple of pipes, a thread cutter and a couple of nuts.

    @seller - I have a couple questions/concerns…

Why does the wiring appear to be different than the dealership signs pictured in the auction? This sign’s wiring is daisy chained from one letter to the next, while the dealership signs don’t show any exposed wiring connecting the letters to each other. My assumption is that the dealership sign was hardwired when mounted, as evidenced by the thicker connecting peg for each letter, which probably has the power in it. Daisy chaining it was added after it was removed from the wall and its power source, correct?

These letters are missing their backplates with pegs that both separate and also connect them to the wall. I assume those don’t come with or else they would be pictured. If not, please confirm that there is no way to actually mount this to a wall as it is currently being auctioned. Additionally, without these to create the spacing from the wall, the backlighting won’t even properly work if it gets mounted to a wall in another manner flush to a wall without them. I’m guessing these mounts stayed on the wall when the sign got removed, which makes mounting this sign again very challenging to benefit from its backlighting.

dear interested parties, look at the last picture in the gallery where you can see exactly the sign hanging at a porsche dealer.

The gentleman with his comment is an ignorant person who is looking for confirmation and arguments, I will not get involved. He's already annoying me in another auction and tries to make business bad for me.

    he's a fangirl

He pulls untruths out of his fingers, I don't know what he gets out of it. presumably he has a lonely one

@Schilderfee @hgfghggf As you state, the R is wrong. The S, C, and E are also the wrong font. Google Porsche Zentrum and look closely. Porsche is a company possessed by precision. You think a Porsche dealership or Porsche themselves don't use the same vendor to make a Porsche sign the exact same way?

I suggest any buyer do a google search and look at other Porsche or Ferrari outdoor signs, and how the electrical is done to meet stringent codes, whether it be the EU or any other modern country.

And please don't deflect by calling me names. Simply show us a picture of any Porsche dealership at any time that used a sign like this.

  • Schilderfee (seller) 2 years, 4 monthsago

Dear interested parties, one thing should be mentioned, this lettering was available in two versions, however, it only differs in one letter, the R, the pictures where I took at my Porsche center is the version with the other R, please don't be surprised. i mention this because i stand for total transparency. Please look at the screw holes, they are in the same place as at the Porsche dealer. the brackets and the openings for them can also be deduced. the lettering is 100% original.

    the version with the
I also have another R as NOS, this version will be up for auction a few weeks later.

if you have any questions, please just get in touch
