Available for auction is an illuminated Michelin Tires sign. According to the seller, the sign originated from France and was purchased directly from the original garage that had acquired the sign from Michelin.
It still retains the original plug which is a two-pin European plug socket and it is believed to be operated by fluorescent lighting. 
The sign works as it should and without fault or hesitation and measures 36" x 12" and has a depth of 4". The sign has its original aluminum casing which is color-matched blue and in excellent shape. The main screen image of the Michelin man and the name are also in exceptional condition.

My sister and I were just retrieving a couple of signs today when your message came in and she managed to take a video for you this evening of the underside. I do apologize for not having the underside photographed before but she also managed to take a couple of photographs for you and they will be attached to the listing shortly.

I do think this would look superb mounted on the wall and yes you could quite easily remove the existing lighting elements and run LED lighting instead. To be upfront I have not dismantled the sign previously to look inside but it certainly works with the current setup very well.

Great video. Is the bottom in similar condition? I’d be looking to hang it high on my wall next to my Michelin tire racks, with the bottom very visible. Looks easy enough to swap to an LED tube. The corner nicks are easy enough to touch up. Again great video! GLWS.

Unfortunately I have a relative in hospital at the moment and an overload of commitments and I do sincerely apologize to everyone for my late introduction and for the lack of information regarding shipping.
I just want to let everyone know that worldwide shipping of this sign is available.
I have not packaged the sign as of yet as it is currently in storage, however I have listed below an estimated cost of the shipping based on the dimensions:
UK - £50
Europe - €100
U.S.A. - $150
The price above is just an estimate and may vary slightly (possibly less and possibly a little more). I am always keen to make sure items are very well packaged and as a result the shipping estimation may change slightly.
I always use UPS and each item is fully insured against damage or loss. Furthermore, I do not charge for the actual packaging of the items as I have an abundance of packaging material in storage. The only cost would be for the actual courier itself.
If anyone has any questions please just let me know. Due to my current working and personal commitments and the time zone difference, there may be a slight delay in my response. However, I will always reply to any message as soon as I can.
