Available for auction is an illuminated Michelin advertising sign thought to be from the 1970s. The sign measures approximately 38” inches in height, and 33” inches in length, with a depth of 3” inches. The sign is constructed of vacuum-formed plastic and features the Michelin logotype and Michelin Man set on a blue translucent background. The lighting has been updated with professional-grade energy-efficient LED's and it is wired to a UK plug (a US or European adapter will be supplied). The seller states the backing has been replaced and two support hooks fitted to allow the sign to be hung on the wall. The seller states the sign is in great condition with marks due to age. The buyer is responsible for shipping, shipping insurance, handling, and transactional fees.
The seller would like you to know: “This is without question a true collector's piece and one that is extraordinarily rare in this day and age. This sign started off its life in a small family run garage in Lyon, France and was kept on display inside for nearly 20 years. The sign was bought at a French auction in the early 1990s and it has been in my family ever since.”

Hello everyone, thank you for viewing this auction.
I just want to let everyone know that worldwide shipping for this sign is not a problem. Due to the valuable and fragile nature of this particular sign, it is highly recommended that a shipping crate is used.
I can organize a bespoke shipping crate for this sign to be manufactured which will meet all modern day environmental standards. The crate itself is likely to be around $300 and shipping with FedEx (including full insurance) will be approximately $500 to the USA.
If anyone has any questions then please just let me know.
Kind regards
