Available for auction is a truly exceptional and exceedingly rare piece of automotive history: an authentic Maserati trident emblem that captures the essence of Italian luxury and craftsmanship. Originating from an illustrious Maserati dealership in Italy, this emblem carries with it a legacy of excellence and distinction.
The sheer grandeur of this emblem is awe-inspiring. Its meticulously polished details shine brilliantly, and its substantial size commands attention, leaving an indelible impression. With measurements of 32" in height and 24" in width, extending from the far left to the far right tips of the iconic trident spear, and boasting a substantial thickness of nearly 1", this emblem truly makes a statement.
Crafted from solid aluminum, this emblem possesses a weighty presence, tipping the scales at over 22 lbs. While displaying some minor markings, these imperfections remain discreet, far from detracting from its overall allure. On the reverse side, traces of the original adhesive remain—a testament to its former indoor showroom display.
It is astonishingly rare to come across a piece like this. Maserati enthusiasts and collectors alike understand the rarity and significance of such an emblem. This is a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of Maserati's heritage, a symbol that embodies the brand's prestige and elegance. The buyer is responsible for shipping, handling, and fees.

Thank you. For others, it's just shy of 24 lbs
@StickyRX Good morning, I have now managed to weigh the sign and it’s coming in between 10.4kg and 10.6kg.
I had to gently aid the sign to stand on the scales hence the two readings and five attempts.
I examined the sign again including the reverse and I can not see any evident markings or engravings.
If I can help with anything else please feel free to get in touch.
Kind regards
Good morning everyone,
As we approach the final hours of this auction I just want to thank everyone who has shown an interest in this sign and thank you to the folks who have have gotten in touch.
Before the auction ends I will have the sign weighed as requested by @StickyRX.
I also wish to welcome @The_Sandman to the auction and I sincerely thank you for your bid. Congratulations on winning the Alfa Romeo 164 yesterday! I too have a soft spot for these and I was watching the auction with interest.
Thanks again everyone and I wish you all the very best for the auction.
Kind regards
Bid in the amount of $125
@StickyRX Yes of course, I will be able to do this tomorrow for you.
Thank you
Thank you. Can you weigh this? Bathroom scale is fine :-)
@StickyRX Apologies, I meant to say the adhesive/silicone was used to help attach the sign to its original mounting display. I believe it was not a stand alone piece but one that was attached/mounted somewhere or to something inside the showroom.
I fully and completely understand what you have said regarding authenticity and markings. Unfortunately as far as I can see there are no stamps on the sign or foundry markings and I unfortunately can not provide any further details other than what I have stated below.
I do appreciate you getting in touch nonetheless and I thank you for your time.
Kind regards
Thank you (seller) for the explanation. I don't see how the silicone had anything to do with the manufacturing process as it's cast aluminum. Do you know the weight?
Regarding the OEM nature, I have a similar Ferrari Cavalino and it's clearly marked as a genuine Ferrari piece. I understand and appreciate your explanation but with due respect, it is just speculation. Nothing wrong but no way to verify this being a factory piece and not something produced otherwise.
@StickyRX Many thanks for getting in touch. The sticky tabs I believe were part of the adhesive process to allow the initial bond to take place - an instant ‘stick’ you could say while the adhesive/silicone took time to cure. The weight of this piece is incredibly heavy and I can only imagine these help aid the process.
With regards to the authenticity, my Father was friendly with a chap in Italy who had an extensive collection of special vehicles (and signage) and this piece was offered at some point in the past. It was declared as original and my Father had no reason to question its authenticity based on the previous business he had conducted with this person.
When looking at the rear you will also see two small metal locators (one near the top and the other in the middle). These are built into the sign which would have been delicate work to undertake. Then there is the size, the weight and the professional finish which would not be representative of a novice in all fairness. I have 110% faith that this sign is genuine and authentic.
If I can help with anything else please feel free to get in touch again.
Kind regards
PS - how do you know this is a OEM piece?
What is all the tiny little rectangles stuck to the back side in what appears to be silicone?
@Phoenix47 Thank you for the question and for getting in touch.
I don’t charge for any extras or additional time packaging or for the packaging materials themselves. The only additional cost over and above the item itself would be the cost from the courier which I estimate to be $200 for shipping to the US with UPS.
If I can help with anything else please just let me know.
Kind regards
@vo152 Do these estimates include "shipping, handling, and fees" or just shipping? In other words, for shipping to the US (for example), will the total cost be the final bid +$200, or will there be other fees?
Thanks
Hello everyone, as we approach the final 24 hours of the auction I just wanted to wish you all the very best. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my very best to answer them promptly.
Kind regards
Hello everyone and thank you for viewing this auction.
I just want to let everyone know that worldwide shipping of this special sign is available. As of yet I have not packaged the sign as it is currently in storage, however I have listed below an estimated cost of the shipping based on the dimensions:
UK - £50
Europe - €130
U.S.A. - $200
The price may vary slightly (possibly less and possibly a little more). I am always keen to make sure items are very well packaged and as a result the shipping estimation may change slightly. I always use UPS and each item is fully insured against damage or loss. Furthermore, I do not charge for the actual packaging of the items as I have an abundance of packaging material in storage. The only cost would be for the actual courier itself.
If anyone has any questions please just let me know. Due to my current working and personal commitments and the time zone difference, there may be a slight delay in my response. However, I will always reply to any message as soon as I can.
Thank you once again to everyone for the interest you have shown and I wish you all the very best of success in the auction.
Kind regards
