Available for auction is a Driven to America double sided event sign, celebrating Porsche’s historic journey to the U.S. Hosted in 2017 at the De Seversky Mansion in Old Westbury, NY. Driven to America brought together Porsche owners, racers, collectors, and enthusiasts to honor the marque’s legacy.
This East Coast event showcased some of Porsche’s most significant road and race cars, along with the passionate individuals behind them. Driven to America commemorates the pivotal moment in 1951 when Maximillian Hoffman struck a deal with Ferry Porsche to import air-cooled sports cars to the U.S., a legacy that lasted until the final air-cooled 993 in 1998.
The artwork on this sign, created by renowned artist Caleb Nelson Carter, features the iconic Porsche 550 Spyder wearing the number 2, marking the event’s second anniversary. The artist incorporated authentic Porsche colors from the 356 era and subtly placed his initials within the headlights.
The bottom of the sign showcases various event sponsors. Measuring 36" wide by 72" high, this poster is mounted on gator board with film lamination. This exceptional piece would make a stunning addition to any Porsche collection or memorabilia display, perfect for any collector or enthusiast looking to celebrate the rich history and legacy of the brand. @Sbani123 hello. I’ll wipe down the sign a little better and anticipate that the water marks will clean right off. Both sides are shown and you can tell the difference by a white spot above the “i” in America.
I’ll post updated photos on Monday.
Thank you for the inquiry.
Are those water stains on the left lower corner?
The description says it’s double sided, will you post pictures of the other side?
