Comparing a few things to one of my $3,000 Rimowa bags results in striking similarities. I’m still unable to get MB to reveal the original manufacturer though.

Thanks for the inquiry. It’s not a NR auction, but the reserve is extremely fair.
It’s in your best interest to be ready towards the end. The reserve has not been met; but it’s truly fair for what you’re receiving. I’ll tell you this; you won’t run into someone else at the airport with this set; nor will you likely see them on display at a show. I’ve only seen the displayed in front of a MB at a concours event once & it was in Germany (that’s what sent me searching for them).
My policy on shipping is to charge precisely what it costs me (watch out for absorbent shipping costs after the fact).
In the lower 48; I’ll cap shipping at $250. If it’s more; I’ll pay. If it’s less; I’ll produce the receipt & refund. I’m not new to selling the highest end luggage in the world. It’s two boxes & I protect them well.

I wondered the exact same thing. I tried everything to get them to reveal the actual manufacturer, but they refused.
I’ve had Rimowa luggage & I would be in total shock if they didn’t private label this set.
This isn’t some cheap company that slapped MB logos on them & marked them up.
I can’t confirm; but I’ve been convinced Rimowa made them for MB since the day they arrived. I have a strange fascination with car luggage & thought about using the set numerous times, but I didn’t want them to show wear. I just take them out of the dust bags sometimes & look at the detail.
Based on what I paid; they better be Rimowa!

When I saw this luggage I was mesmerized. The spring loaded latches are amazing. These bags are actually lightweight aluminum; their not polycarbonate that is painted to look like aluminum. This is the real deal. Bearing wheels, lightweight aluminum, built in combo locks, TSA certified, all accessories, dust bags & brand new. We almost brought them on a trip, but they are so nice I couldn't do it.
