Available for auction is an authentic BMW Motorsport Division sign. Measuring 27" in diameter and 1/4" thick, this solid aluminum BMW sign is in excellent condition free of any cracks or chips. The back of the sign reads "BMW Motorsport GmbH West Germany 1975 München 80337."

The early 1970s were the dawn of a new age for BMW: A new, young Board of Management under Eberhard von Kuenheim had set out to strategically power and pursue the ongoing success of the Company. @GmbH Question; is the the same sign that sold prior for 3200.00 that had a reserve met at 1200.00? Did previous person not pick up or is this one different. Reasoning is photos seem identical?

@theatriks The numbers you see on the back are to the best of my knowledge, a part number and do not designate a limited or numbered series. That is why they display the same numbers as my previous listing.
I am a collector as you can see from my previous listings. I'm fortunate enough to sometimes obtain multiples of a sign or collector item. I can assure you, this isn't the same sign as the one I had previously listed on here. As for you saying it was over bid, that may be your personal opinion, but the values of collector automobilia and petroliana can sometimes reach beyond what some peoples expectations are. I have collected for years and am happy to offer such fine items for other car enthusiasts to be able to purchase and enjoy!!! Good luck to all bidders
